How bloated we talking. And howuch term left on the bloat?

How "nice" of an asset in return to eat another teams mistake? C'mon Frank spill the beans.

Speaking of, I can live in a world where Barrie, Hanley and Rooney are no longer Flames. I know theres a couple of ppl who don't much like Jake Bean but IMO he's been perfectly adequate as the 3rd pairing LD with Pachal.

I mean it's also not wrong for the Flames to look at Left D and want a little more. But for a GM that's openly stated he wants to make room for more kids from the farm, this Serivalli rumor flies in the face of that.

Frank suggested Bean & Pachal were in the bottom percentile of 3rd pairs. Are they really that bad? I didn’t think so but what do the stats say?

We know the D corps is a WiP. So if they want to tinker, let's see what they're cooking I suppose, if you get a nice asset back in the process, why not.

I'd much rather they give some young guys a look first

And the narrative that Bean-Pachal is a bad third pair would be very false. They are at 53% xGF and on the ice for 9 GF and 7 GA

Market dictates a first rounder is worth ~$5m. (Marleau, Monahan)
Nurse, whom is overpaid by $5m, over another 5 years.. that’s FIVE first rounders.

The problem is we give them the room to fill their d corps, with good dmen, and potentially a cup.

What does Calgary, actually say in reply?

CC: Suck my dick, Bowman
SB: brb, I got just the guy

The poster corrected his quote. It was his hope that’s what Frank meant.

Instead he said the Flames are looking to do the Treliving. A rebuilding team looking to do the Treliving.

Of all the rotating player on the Defense side the Flames have used this season so far, Bean has been the best of them all and by a pretty heady margin.

No, it is bad enough the Flames are winning games, now a guy on the radio said they might make a trade. I have already lit my torch and sharpened my pitchfork.

Who is overreacting? That’s the exact move Treliving loved to make.

To the Flames: Cozens
To the Sabres: Horvat
To the Islanders: New Jersey’s 2025 1st round pick + Calgary’s 2025 2nd round pick + Posposil
It is a good suggestion but I doubt it passes the NTC test. Even if Barzal or Horvat want to leave the Islanders they wouldn't do it to join the Sabres.

Maybe UHC? They unload one of their roster centers to make room for a shiny new prospect and pick up additional draft capital to boot? Hayton is the only guy who kind of fits the requirement.

And we haven't even brought up Miromanov yet. He's just as much an enigma on the ice today as he was when they acquired him .

Utah should be taking steps to be a playoff team now. I can’t see the parting with a roster center for a prospect. They are just 4 points back.

Ya, they could try to make a push to knock the Flames out of WC2... Or they could trade Hayton, who is behind Keller and Cooley anyway, and make room for Iginla.

It isn't a great solution but at least I am willing to try to play along with the other poster's idea instead of just driving by and shooting it down.

Why does the fan960 ever have Seravelli on? He is so arrogant and usually wrong. Instant switch whenever I hear that Oiler fan drone on about some stupid thing. Literally go interview random fans and they'll know more about the game without the SN bias.

So just throw our unrealistic trade proposals because the other teams want the Flames to make the playoffs. Gotcha
