Sorry to hear that as well, it's gonna be tough, and my pops parkinsons is slowly getting worse. Once I get there I think I'll find a counselor, Psychotherapy.

Concert prices after Covid are absolutely insane. Bands that literally would sit with 100 unsold tickets at Grey Eagle/Jubilee with 2300-2700 tickets available at $50-150 in the past now play the Saddledome with tickets in the $70 (back of the second tier) and $160-$600 in the lower bowl and sell 6000-14000 tickets for the show. What happened to the industry/us?

Streaming services and Ticketmaster.
Bands going on tour and selling merch is the only way they can make money. Unfortunately, unless you're Taylor Swift or Beyonce, the concert venues can demand a greater cut is the gate revenue.

People go out less, but are willing to spend more when they do go out it seems like.

Doesn't seem like the trend in my social circle and work. It seems everyone goes the same but is just willing to pay more for tickets as "that's what you pay now".

I stopped going to concerts for that very reason. The value isn't there anymore.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my Dad to Cancer. She's going to need all your love and support you can give her.

GMCC. I don’t know why, but it kind of annoys me. Just type out Conroy. We know he’s the GM!

We go by full names when it comes to former Calgary Captain Craig Conroy

My eyebrows are starting to GMG. I went through the first 40 years of my life never thinking about them, but then barbers started asking me if I wanted them trimmed. And then I started noticing wild eyebrow hairs in the mirror that bug me enough to yank them out. I guess this is my life now if I don't want to end up looking like Mark Twain

Yeah, BadgerBob does that all the time now and many posters used to. Like there's "Conroy" or "GMCC". How do you revert to some random weird sounding acronym that takes as long to type out as the GM's last name? So weird.

I frowned while watching a movie the other day, and then thought “wtf is that in front of my eye”. I go to the mirror and it’s an eyebrow hair almost as long as my eyebrows are in entirety…and I already trim them frequently enough I thought…. It was WILD.

We went to sports bar the other day to watch the Flames game and the IPTV was beyond brutal where not a single person working or my friends who have a system could figure it out. Literally watched old, repeat games and couldn't change the channel past American news. The place was empty and I know partially why.

I know it's not everyone, but the majority of the pirate streaming people are not movie buffs and never buy BluRays so their standard of what's acceptable is really low. It being free is more important than a quality picture.
I still pay monthly for TV but when I walk in the door I hit the button and the game is on instantly in HD without any buffering or time delays while I make supper.
