Look, the 'Troll Brigade' have an interesting platform and even some very intriguing policies but I dont think they can enact them.

Like this whole 'Bridge Toll' policy in their Campaign? No one is going to vote for that! They dont even want money, they want you to answer riddles! And who is going to staff all of these Trolls collecting Bridge Tolls?

Sorry, but what is she (or Minister LeBlanc) supposed to do? The most powerful man in the world is casually throwing out there that he thinks he is going to commence economic aggression against Canada in a little over a week (after previously suggesting that he would do so today). Its unprecedented. Who knows what Trump will do? But they have to reassure Canadians that they are taking it seriously and that they are prepared for any potential scenario (which is exactly what they said).
