That being said, Al MacInnis and Teemu Selanne don't have much in the way of experience that would make their opinions worth much more than some random person on a website... they both were good at putting a piece of rubber into a net. It doesn't make them good or smart people, it just means that they possessed a talent at a relatively inconsequential act.

I don't think it's corrupt to protect people from baseless prosecutions and retaliations when the incoming guy has repeatedly stated he's out for revenge.

If it was just those people then maybe, but pardoning other people who Trump has said he's after like Fauci and the J6 Committee and Milley makes it look more like extraordinary actions for extraordinary comments by the incoming president.

I don't see it as corruption, I see it as a sign that their system is fundamentally broken and he's doing something that will result in a greater good.

I mean look at what the right is like:

So appearances almost don't even matter any more when people just believe what they're told to believe.

The only person Trump pardoned that can even remotely be considered "Family" is his son in laws father, who was convicted in 2005 and served a 2 year prison sentence. You can see the rather large difference that a preemptive pardon for people genetically related to you who have never been charged with a crime. Preemptive pardons have never happened before, so there is your precedence.

Nor did he set any precedence with "family", Bill Clinton pardoned his brother.

So it's just facts over partisan politics.

in hindsight, I wonder why I didn't have "Musk does the Nazi salute" on my bingo card. I mean, I expected gross things, but not necessarily this. Should have seen this coming.

I don't know... Elon Musk is one of the strangest, most awkward people I've ever seen. Maybe this is just his really awkward attempt at some kind of fist-pump-esque gesture to pump at the crowd?

Yup. I thought for sure it was AI or an exaggeration of some sort (the right will definitely play it as an exaggeration from the leftists) as I first saw it online but he certainly did.

We're in it now. Everything the people warned about Trump and his cabal has come true. The masks are off.
