Him being the "best player in the world" should have zero impact on disciplinary issues. Lets of elite talent have been handed severe suspensions over the years. While McDavid has not been suspended before, he has a reputation for these kind of acts, like the slash in the playoffs last season. Obviously the Canucks figured out how to get under his skin. He should get two games, or one for the bare minimum. If he gets off scot-free or even worse Myers is given a longer suspension we'll all know the reason why...

He has been suspended before, for elbowing a guy in the head… and multiple fines as well. This isn’t a one off dirty play, he’s a dirty player trying to hurt players when he gets frustrated

Morgan Rielly was suspended 5 games for cross checking a guy in the head last year. His cross checking was worse than McDavids, however Rielly had no previous history of suspensions. This play *should be* 4 or 5 games because of his prior suspensions but I’m expecting one for McDavid and 3 for the chaos giraffe Myers.
