The team won't be successful unless Wolf stays a legit #1, Huberdeau and Kadri play consistently like 1st liners, some of Zary/Pelletier/Coronato emerge as legit top 6 guys and the defence rounds into shape.

Having those pieces in place vs. not having them in place is going to make a huge difference in terms of what the plans should be.

I just don’t know why they would do that or why that would drive up the value. Seems bizarre. Like, why wouldn’t Conroy just let it be known around the league that Andersson is on the market.

I think you’re deluding yourself here, man. By all accounts there’s no trade coming. This isn’t some elaborate smoke screen Conroy is masterminding. I think we can take him at his word. Save yourself the consternation, anxiety and outrage once we get passed the TDL and Andersson is still here. I think this is an offseason topic.

It's not a coincidence that for the most part, those two get points in almost every win and none in almost every loss.

Certainly hope so. Thankfully (?) this month may be the great equalizer. We should see exactly what they are once its done. Either firmly in the mix or they drop down to 9-12 overall and probably stay in there.

I've fallen for the bouts of competency (and Wolf) and think they'll squeak into the playoffs.

IF they Flames are still in it at the deadline they definitely need an improvement on Rooney. If that costs a 6th rounder for a rental player so be it.

eg. Someone like Luke Kunin from SJ

Edit: I would probably audition a couple farm hands first though. The problem is that Center depth is a big time issue down there as well.

The only thing we should be looking at is trading Andersson. We should not be giving up any futures right now.

This is an awful, awful team being propped up by elite goaltending and good coaching. We are one of the least skilled teams in the league on paper.
