Ads on CP on iphone impacting views

I normally don't complain about this stuff as I understand the ads are necessary but it is annoying when you are midway into typing a post on your phone and all of a sudden, the entire bottom half of your screen gets is covered by a giant ad banner that you can't close and you can't even see what you are typing unless you scroll to the very top. That stinks.

As others have mentioned, just download the Brave browser and all your problems will be alleviated.

I was forced to do this for another forum I frequent, due to similar issues that stated popping up (no pun intended) about a year ago. It works perfect and you get zero ads.

Highly recommend.

Takes more work sure, but in the long run will bring in more revenue.

It's a lot of work for sure. To sell local ads you need someone who is grind away to build that pipeline and close deals. So you basically now have an employee, commissions, contracts, etc that you are dealing with. And finding good sales people is tough. And if they aren't good - it won't work.

The advantage of using adsense is that you bypass all of that.

Well I'm not gonna tell the guy how to run his site, but I'd be willing to throw in a few bucks/month or annually to make the ads more reasonable. I suspect most of the long term users would be as well.

I have no clue how much a site like this costs to run but surely there are 100 users that would chip in to bridge the cost gap if Bingo eliminated the intrusive ads.

I mostly browse on computer, so the ads are not intrusive like on mobile.

CP via desktop is mostly at work. When I'm not at work my CP time is mostly on phone.

I’m not at work for a bit so it’s only phone. Hell I can close spam windows like a champ but these are insidious. You can’t even close them and they wait until you are ready to click to post a response. Like whoever programmed these I would gladly smash their brain with my heel it’s so frustrating.

The message board itself is a dumpster fire now because of the ads. Just terrible and the owner not only won't address it but outright said he's tired of the "whining" about it.

Okay, I gotta be missing something. I use Chrome with AdBlock and I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Both programs are free and I am not a Silicon Valley Tech Mogul or whatnot.
