Man....goalies amirite?

I remember when Matt Murray burst onto the scene and made the Pens move on from MAF. Then Tristan Jarry came right up behind Murray and made him expendable.

Now both Murray and Jarry look like scrubs at 29/20 years old, can't keep an NHL gig and meanwhile 40 year old MAF is still rocking as an NHL backup with a 2.5 GAA and a .910 save %.

Goalies are voodoo 99% of the time

I am not sure Edmonton will spend the Evander Kane cap room on this, not even sure it's enough. But it seems like an edmonton move, for sure.

Some of Murrays scruby is because of injuries, I think.

Except Wolf. He'll be fine and consistent the entirety of his career.

They already have Skinner, why would they need two Skinners? (well three if you consider that they have two skinners on the roster)

I don't see why the Oilers would claim him as he's struggled and isn't really an upgrade on what they have.

I think the Penguins are a pretty bad team that probably doesn't make life easy on their goaltenders. Nedeljkovic has practically identical stats to Jarry.

The zamboni guy from Toronto is an upgrade on Skinner according to Oilers fans. He's the only reason they aren't 43-0 right now.

Jarry (22 GP): 3.26 GAA, .886%
Nedeljkovic (19 GP): 3.40 GAA, .886%
Blomqvist (8 GP): 3.60 GAA, .904%

big yikes. At least Blomqvist is young and has been good in the AHL, so might as well roll the dice with him instead of sticking with Jarry.

Why? They have 2 better goalies, plus one on IR.

No one would claim that contract.

We got lots of cap space, he is only 29 and I really dont think its him thats the problem. He was considered one of the top goalies in league 2-3 years ago, grab him for free and build his value back up. Great veteran presence to work alongside Wolf the next couple years.

Nedeljkovic was 3rd in calder voting with the Hurricanes. Crazy how his career has gone down the toilet.
