This is from a few pages back, but Galitos just opened up in Redstone waaay up in the NE. It's an overseas franchise that I think does the Nandos thing far better than Nandos. I used to go there quite a bit when I lived in Abu Dhabi and was thrilled when I saw they opened up here. They started out in Forest Lawn but relocated.
That is A-Mart, which used to be Arirang Oriental Foods, which used to be on 17 Ave SE but is now on 10 Ave SW and is now called A-Mart.

Well, Mart is from Walmart, the biggest market in the world, have to stick with that, can’t deviate from that and we got 23 letters, and there is no other possibilities in there.
Pretty good progress made on that new Canadian Tire in Deerfoot meadows. They cleared the field into packed dirt about 8 years ago and then they....let the grass grow back through the dirt. Should still be on pace for their 2042 opening, I'd imagine.

I guess I wasn't paying any attention but apparently there's no The Source stores? Went to check their website for a cable to pick up tomorrow and it sent me to Best Buy Express.

In January 2024, BCE announced that it would permanently close approximately one-third of The Source's locations and its Barrie head office, and transition the remainder to a franchising partnership with its erstwhile competitor Best Buy. 167 locations were temporarily closed, renovated and rebranded under the new Best Buy Express banner throughout the second half of 2024. BCE continues to own the locations, but they now carry exclusively Best Buy merchandise, and offer services such as Geek Squad. They also continue to exclusively offer telecommunications services from BCE's subsidiaries including Bell Canada.
It will always be Radio Shack to me.
