Don't need it. Just keep drafting NHLers in the 6th & 7th rounds.

I mean you can see the vast difference in structure and defensive play between these two teams.

Huska wasn't the sexy pick for coach, but man, he has done a helluva job with a low talent roster. Yes, a good coach often has a good goaltender, but there's more than goaltending that's put this team into a legitimate playoff conversation. 5 on 5 they are a very strong (low event) team.

If they can just fix the special teams, especially the PK, they should be able to lock up a playoff spot. Getting Rooney off the PK would probably be job one.

Loved the game from the kids. So cool for Pelletier and Kerins. Wolf is just on another level. He would be such a frustrating goalie to play against no matter how the game is going. When teams are dominating the flames, he’s shutting the door and keeping them in it. If the flames are dominating a team and they barely get any chances, wolf still shuts the door when they inevitably get a quality scoring chance. Would be so annoying to play against a goalie that can stay just as focused and dominant no matter how much action he is seeing in the game. Love it.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Huska wasn’t as happy with that game. The flames dominated the Blackhawks for most of the night (which they should) but were pretty sloppy with turnovers. Quite a few unforced errors.

Chicago is BAAADDD! Bedard looks like Hall during his last 2-3 years in Edmonton. Just so discouraged and frustrated.

100% agree. I liked all of their line tonight they played fast. They made quick decisions and moved the puck without too much thought. All 3 of them seem to like playing that quick style.

Season numbers get a slight bump.

He's been well above .900 in 5 of his last 6 starts. Really settling in now.
Was watching for this. He technically got cheated out of 2 blatant shots on goal in the 3rd period by the shot counters. Should have been 24 saves on 26 shots on goal. It’s weird what they consider a shot on goal in some rinks. One was an easy wrister from the point but the other was a deflection he swallowed up. Both were not included in the shot count.

Can we safely say that Wolf is not only a Calder contender but Vézina as well.

Has a little more ground to make up to be in the Vezina discussion, but he is slowly entering the picture.

Should be a Calder contender but I have a feeling that Hutson may have it wrapped up given that he's leading the scoring race as a d-man.

Eastern guys will always get the edge if it feels close.

Wolf is Calgary's MVP which is what I think should give him the edge on those guys.

Have to think the Hawks are close, they have drafted 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 8th in the last 7 drafts and are the worst team in the NHL this season so they should pick top 4 at worst this season.
Close to what?
