Perhaps you could provide a source for these two please.
Thanks.

Dannielle Smith is such a repugnant, vile person. I didn't think it was possible to hate her more until I saw that pic of her next to Trump.

Don’t forget Obama. Also a vile, repugnant person - I thought he was decent, until I saw him joking around with Trump.

Did you expect him to throw a tantrum at a funeral service?

The exclusion of oil and gas from the US tariff plans.
She's essentially been advocating for that in public already.

Was about to say. Seeking a waiver from the upcoming tariffs would be the highest value item piece of business she could possibly do for the Province of Alberta at this time.
With the federal politics in shambles at the moment there's a massive leadership vacuum on this issue and highlighting a more nuanced take on the North American energy implications of the tariff is a prudent thing to do. Melanie Joly is proposing cutting off energy exports to the U.S. That both reckless and actually ignorant of Canada's own best interest because Line 5 and line 9 actually supply Ontario and Quebec but passes through Michigan.

What she's doing will benefit Alberta, with economic benefits to Canada as well relative to O&G. Kudos to her if she can eliminate that one big threat. The concern is that it plays our country's biggest playing card without leveraging it more broadly to defuse the overall trade issue. Proposing to cutoff energy is reckless (no less reckless than Trump) and can only be bluster, but undermine an overall Canadian approach is also shortsighted. If we have every premier negotiating micro-deals it reduces our negotiating strength as a country.

Sure, if that’s all she’s doing. Do you think she has no other motives, such as discussing…I dunno, Alberta/Canada joining the U.S., to give an extreme example. Less extreme, trying to circumvent our federal government. I have no doubt she has motives other than just negotiations with our major trade partner, which is why I think she’s a traitor.

But it isn’t necessary to post every insipid thought that comes into your head, is it? Or are you trying to tight-rope walk some MAGA conspiracy theories with that comment?

It sounds like from Smith's comments that there are no indications that Trump is going to make any exceptions. She said we need to prepare for the tariffs starting immediately after he is inaugurated. Maybe he changes his mind last minute I guess.
FWIW, Alberta and Ontario have several international trade offices around the world. including ones in Washington, D.C., maybe other provinces do as well. It's not out of the ordinary for provinces to negotiate outside of the federal government. The premiere doing in person might not be that common though.

With boobbus's previous history, Trump is going to impose a 35% tariff on oil and gas.

So is she there advocating or is she there negotiating?
Because as a premier she doesn’t have anything to negotiate with.
