I think all too often fans fall into the trap of eating up everything said for public consumption.

If I'm even a maybe I say I'd like to say.

He also said it's a business.

If the Flames slide in the next few weeks the maybe could be a no pretty quickly.

Nothing in that article sets anything for me.

Totally agree, but I don’t get the sense it was lip service this time. I’m in the trade Andersson for as much as you can get camp, but there’s worse things than having a vet around who bleeds flames colors…

I dunno, 2-3 weeks of poor play isn’t something I’d base a life changing decision on. Then again, that’s just me.

I probably would not even tell Eric Francis what I am truly thinking, but then again, that’s just me.

Eh. The fact that both sides had business is business quotes in there doesn’t scream they think he is on the Flames on his next contract. Andersson probably has his mind made up on what it would take for him to stay on the Flames through a rebuild and Conroy probably knows the number he is comfortable offering and they most likely have had initial conversations.

Trading Andersson isn’t a life changing decision.

I take it you’ve never moved from one City to another.

That’s probably fair and accurate to say. I’d still be surprised if he’s traded this year. Sounds like both sides have that in mind.

I thought you meant the Flames.

Meh when you get the privilege to make million of dollars playing a game it comes with some downfalls. Moving cities isn’t a big deal to work a few hours a week.

I’m sure they will be fine.

Yager is definitely not untouchable, and I fully expect them to be active this deadline as once again they’re poised for a run.

With that said I don’t think Yager moves the needle enough for me, I don’t see his softer style translating to the NHL. I could be wrong, but yea.

A life-changing decision would be packing up and moving to another continent, as a kid on your own, to pursue your dream.

At this point, changing teams to pursue a cup ain't the big deal you're making it out to be here. He watched several of his best friends leave last year.

Of the guys I listed, is Tij the only one you’re hearing is untouchable?

If we can get a Yager type prospect in an Andersson deal that's just a bonus to me. With the way the Flames have been drafting I just want the picks.

HNIC:

Preds telling teams that even though ROR does not have trade protection in his contract, he will be treated as he has a NTC out of respect
offer needs to make the Preds excited, and ROR wants to go there
ROR has not asked to be moved yet

Kraken CEO at the Sabres/Kraken game which is unusual and noted

Vancouver is considering trade offers for Miller or Pettersen to western conference teams
They aren't telling western conference teams that inquire no

Sure, but let’s just say Andersson gets traded to a City he’s not particularly enamoured with or has no desire to be there. What if said team isn’t particularly close to being a cup contender, after all Andersson only has trade restrictions to 6 teams. No gaurantee he ends up a team knocking on the door. Half the proposals we’ve seen over the past handful of months have him going to Buffalo or Winnipeg.

If Andersson is traded he could very well end up in a spot hes not terribly comfortable in. That’s not a huge stretch.

Life changing? I guess it depends what magnitude were relating this to but one way or the other, it will certainly be disruptive, and getting traded isn’t always a good thing.

Wonder what Weetern teams are in on Miller and Pettersson have to think Dallas is 1.

ROR being available maybe a Miller for RoR swap?

Maybe the Blues or Wild.

Wild making a Rossi package for Pettersson would make a lot of sense I think. Fits the apparent ask from the Canucks, gives Kaprizov a true number 1 to play with. They're shedding those Parise Suter buyouts soon too
