Yeah I’m not that surprised or upset. Now if he doesn’t play Monday that would raise some eyebrows

Doesn't make much sense to make his debut against a top 10 team when you could debut against the last place team the next game.

Makes sense.

Also pretty sure the team wanted to give his folks time to get to his first NHL game...which might have been an issue for tonight.

A little unfortunate for the Flames that Wednesday's game was postponed. They would have been facing a Kings team on a back-to-back and their third game in four nights.

As always a great primer for tonight's game.

The Kings have surprised me a bit this season with how well they have played. Given how they finished last season and were handled by the Oilers, I thought they'd fight for a Wild Card spot at best. But they have the third best point percentage in the Conference. That Keumper for Dubois deal seems to have worked out well for both L.A. and Washington.

Winning this game tonight would be huge in the playoff race. I think in the next month we will find out what this team is.

Even after the disastrous deal that brought Dubois in, the Kings still have really good depth up front. And they seem to have total buy-in to a defensively responsible game. You can probably thank Kopitar for that - hugely underrated leader.

Kopitar might be the best two-way player of this century ... Bergeron and Datsyuk included. He's criminally underrated and always has been. Neck-and-neck with those two at the very least.

Age not yet a factor for him, it's pretty incredible. 2 rings at min to retire with at some point too. Guys been a beast for LAK and yes certainly underated.

for parts of 3 seasons the Flames had all of Suter, MacInnis and Reinhart at their disposal- all home grown and 4 years apart in age- unfortunately they were rarely all healthy at the same time, but when they were it gave the team options like few I have seen before or since. so much so Reinhart sometimes played F on the PP (he played F in general a little). nowadays we see 5 F powerplays, the Flames at times used to run a 3D PP!

one of his last really healthy runs for the Flames was the 86 playoffs- I think he's a bit of a forgotten member of that squad. with 18 points in the playoffs, he was tied with Lanny and one point behind Mullen and MacInnis for team lead (note: the other 3 are HOFers)

39th birthday today. The dreaded 4-0 is still a year away, but I'll happily take a 4-0 win as present today, thank you. Go Flams

Bruins pick up a point to climb a point above us but they have played 4 more games.

Bruins are not in our conference but I am sure we will leapfrog them tonight. Onward to the playoffs, next man up mentality.

But. In true Flames fashion. We will crush the top 10 team and lose to the last place team. That needs to be taken under consideration
