Bennett in his 25-28 year old seasons so far has put up 157 points in 243 games for 0.65 PPG.
If he actually stays healthy and plays all 82 games this season they will put up very similar numbers in their 25-28 year old seasons.
Now I don't really want the Flames to go chase him as a UFA, but it's possible that Bennett's game could age fine in his 29-36 year old seasons, much like Kadri's game has and has actually improved. The flip side is his injuries continue to pile up and he becomes a bit of a liability, you never really know which way it will go.

Cant stay healthy in his 20s but totally will in his 30s?
IMO someone will regret his next contact

Some wanted him back here, but we bitch and moan about Kadri.
So we should just sign someone to replace him so we can bitch and moan about him.

LTIR cap loophole playoff Bennett is like the ideal scenario actually.

He plays a very similar game to Kadri - and Kadri has gotten better with age. Kadri has his career best season at 30, and his second best season offensively at 32.
Plays a similar game to JT Miller too, who really started to show his offensive talent in his 28 year season with a 99 point season, and had a 100 point season at 30.
Sometimes guys like that start to produce a bit better when they simplify their game and stop running around trying to be agitators on every shift.
Now I personally don't ever see Bennett having a 100 point season, or even a point per game season. But I don't think it's a given that he ages poorly in that contract.
If you can keep the AAV at $7M x 7 or below, and you get his 29-36 year old seasons then maybe that's not the worst.
I'd be wary of anything above $7M though because even though he's been better in Florida he's still best slotted as a guy that's going to put 50-60 points and can center your second line.

Bennett is a bit of a bonehead. Kadri and JT Miller are both emotional but also have high hockey IQs. I wouldn't expect Bennett to set up or even be able to read high level hockey plays. His game is far more energy based than either of Kadri or Miller.
I also haven't seen anything to indicate that Bennett's game is improving or growing with age. He currently has 1 point in 13 games. I'll admit I haven't watched all of those games, but I'm guessing he's doing a lot of the same stuff he did in Calgary when he wasn't producing. Lots of pucks thrown into corners and driving hard into plays that have little chance success.

I wouldn’t say Kadri’s hockey IQ is much better than Bennett
I would say Bennett is a better hockey player at the same age. There is a reason he got picked for team Canada
Kadri somehow found his scoring at 32 though

Maybe.
Tkachuk has 2 5V5 points in that same time, Reinhart 2 as well.
Probably more that Bennett's on ice shooting percentage is 2.25% in those 13 games, Tkachuk is 4.17%, and Reinhart is 5.0%.
Whole team is in a bit of a PDO hole right now.
The biggest concern I'd have with Bennett is that having Lundell and Barkov as two very defensive responsible centers on the same team, along with playing with Tkachuk, provides him with pretty good shelter that he probably won't have in a different organization.

Chris Johnson posted something on Twitter, that since the teams got announced the highest scoring Canadians aren't even on the team. The list includes Huberdeau as well.

Kadri was buried in Toronto after they signed Tavares...have quick look at how much he dropped off after Tavares booted him to the 3rd line. He had just had back to back 30 goal seasons too.

From what I've seen watching both players as Flames, Kadri is exhibiting much higher playmaking, hockey IQ and leadership skills.
You are correct though, I'm observing Kadri and Bennett at different points in their careers and at different ages.
Let's also be real, the "4 Nations Roster" is different than "Team Canada". Bennett isn't playing for the olympic team. He's playing in a reformatted All-Star game that involves 4 teams, thus expanding the number of players at a typical all-star game. Kadri has played in 2 all star games.

Pretty questionable take.
Kadri had two 30 goal sessons to his name at age 29. Yet he found his scoring at 32?
Bennett has how many 30 goal seasons in his career?
There was no best on best team Canada between 2016 and this year which coincides with Kadri's 26 to 34 year old seasons....if this gimmick event is in 2021...he likely gets selected.

Bennett was the one who initiated his departure by asking for a trade. Treliving decided to honor the trade request even though Sutter changed Bennett's outlook on Calgary.

Yes, his scoring moved to another level at 32
He scored 30 but was very inconsistent before that
And no, Kadri was not likely to be selected to any team Canada that the very best was available
I am not saying Bennett is great or anything but he brings things that Kadri didn’t at that age or even now

Kadri would have been cosidered for Canada in his 100 point cup year...Bennett was a pretty off the board pick himself...he came out flying this season but has like 3 points since the selection. Kadri is one of very few that got better in their 30s...its unlikely with Bennett, or anyone else for that matter is the point.

Kadri… Backlund… Coleman…
I dunno man, I want to let you cook here but we’re sitting with three forwards that got better in their 30s as it stands right now.

Update:
Doesn’t believe that kind of deal is out there for Wright, said if it was the Flanes would have pulled the trigger. Believes that Seattle is shopping Wright, but looking for a 1st and a prospect currently.
Kadri, Andersson and Vladar are the main pieces of interest right now.
Craig in this holding pattern, chasing that playoff dream (yuck imo) likely want that revenue $$

A 1st and a prospect is also a no brainer. I thought the rumoured deal was Pelletier, Vladar and a 1st?
Edit - sorry went and checked, no first
