Eagles fans must love life. Not only doing well themselves, but watching the Giants and Cowboys step on rake after rake must be hilarious.

We're not all that far removed from really stinking up the joint to end the 2023 season and a bunch of offseason drama. If they go one and done in the playoffs, that stuff will probably start up again.

The Athletic had an article saying Brady asked Bill about his interest in coaching the team.

While we are discussing the Raiders lol.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...antonio-pierce

I thought Telesco had a really good draft but it sounds like Brady is really involved as Telesco was hand picked by Davis last year and was thought to be safe. I have no idea if any of this is going to work out but Brady can't be worse at hiring GM's and coaches as Mark Davis. I wonder if this was made because Vrabel or one of the other candidates wants to bring in his own GM.

Like with players if you see a clear cut upgrade at coaching you need to make the move.

Like the Blues. The Gm even said if a top free agent head coach wasn't available, they wouldn't have made the move.

At the end of the day its a business and winning brings in money, being the nice guy usually doesn't work out.

The Browns had insurance on his contract so a whole bunch of cap relief will roll into the 2026 season. Works out pretty decently for them…

Is this like how Putins adversaries either end up consuming poison or falling out of windows by accident?

Patriots win the 'Vrabel sweeptakes'

Kraft must have backed up a few Brink's trucks to get him to join a team with so few assets.

I think that was his first choice. They said he used the Jets to have them fire Mayo asap.

McCarthy is out as Cowboys coach. Strange that they blocked an interview for him and then never even negotiated with him. I'm not sure if this is a desirable or undesirable job as long as Jerry is around it's kind of a circus atmosphere.

Jerry just wanted to be a petty ####### blocking the Bears from interviewing. Look the part act the part and all that.

I don't know why you think they didn't negotiate? The report I saw was they couldn't agree on term.

This as right out of the linked article.

McCarthy's contract with the Cowboys expired last Wednesday but the team held an exclusive negotiating window with the coach until Tuesday at midnight. However, the sides have not had any negotiations regarding a new deal, sources told Schefter on Monday.

Not a McCarthy fan and I don't think the Bears would have hired him but that is a dick move by the Cowboys.

Only slightly envious until they hire Mike Zimmer or Kellen Moore to be the coach.
