I think without Zary making his last minute move, it’s just a clean body check.
I don’t disagree with the penalty call at the end of the day, because it’s still knee contact whether it’s intentional or not - and it led to an injury. I don’t think there should be any suspension on top of it though.

They thought a change that doesn't help anyone was necessary, and would not shut up until they got their way. Then they moved on to other things (such as allowing biological men to beat up women at the Olympics). There is no possible way of satisfying people who have identified themselves as activists. It's called ‘March of Dimes syndrome’.

The people calling it a clean hit..
The NHL reviewed the hit and still agreed it was a 5 and a game. NHL doesn’t make the correct calls all the time, but i do agree with that. Zary tried to go around and the ducks player stuck out his leg.
