You know what there’s lots to dunk on in the franchise and city and some of it is pretty funny( the Lauren with no cups things was pretty good). Honestly that stuff is all good rivalry stuff and you guys can have at it. But there’s literally guys laughing because the google street view had a guy overdosing in it. I get it, the symbolism of that and everything but that guy could be dead, as a result of one of the worst drug epidemics striking our country and hitting this city hard. There’s probably a line somewhere, that likely found it even for this thread.

I don't think anyone openly cheering for a team that recently or currently employs anyone in a decision-making capacity with the previous Hockey Canada admin or the dynasty-era Blackhawks gets to use the words "disgusting", or "reproach", or "beyond" and be taken seriously.

I know an Oiler fan who has the idea that it would be a form of treason to switch teams. He has openly equated deserting your sports fandom to deserting your country. We choose quality designers labels over George's sweats from Walmart, just as we choose the class of the Flames organization over the morally corrupt, self-important and gross looking Oilerz.

I'd be mad too if I unfortunately felt loyalty to a slimy and despicable organization that is an ever-growing PR disaster that feeds rival forums embarrassing material daily all because it happened to be situated in my hometown.

I suppose we can sympathize in that regard.

Speak for yourself. I have better things to spend my money on than designer labels. Snob appeal is not quality.

That said, I do not buy clothes from Walmart, because they don't carry anything worth wearing in my size. Their idea of ‘extra large’ seems to be ‘not small enough for a garden gnome’.
