Just throwing this out there for discussion, but if Basha is indeed done for the season, should the Tigers look at possibly trading for Kelowna's Andrew Cristall? Cristall is a left winger (as is Basha) and it doesn't look like Kelowna will make the playoffs this season. Not sure what kind of package Kelowna would be looking for, but he could be a fine addition for Medicine Hat.

I dunno, tons of offensive talent obviously, but there isn't much more to his game than that and despite all the injuries the Tigers do not struggle to score.

For the cost I think I'd rather see them grab someone that can help them in other areas, and who will also be back for next season. It would be fun to watch him and McKenna battle for the scoring title on the same team though.

I've heard rumblings that Elick and the Wheaties are wanting to NOT be a thing any more, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets moved and if he does, the Tigers should be all over it.

I don't know if Lynden Lakovic is in play, but Moose jaw is having a tough season. He would likely command quite the package in return though, but with the added benefit that he would likely be back in the WHL next season.

Yeah landing Lakovic would be a home run for sure, I can't see Moose Jaw moving him though. Not unless he requests a trade and is unhappy there, which I don't think is the case.

I just came to post that too. My son just let me know, he hangs with someone who hangs with most of the Hurricanes. I don't know the details yet.

Haha, so all three WHL Team Canada Dmen moved at the TDL, all to the central arms race.

Mynio to CGY
Molendyk to Med Hat
Price to Lethbridge

Edmonton has't done squat, watch them be the ones to go deep lol

Yeah and I don't think any of them are done quite yet. I mentioned Cristall yesterday and with Kelowna trading Caden Price, it doesn't make much sense for Kelowna to hang on to Cristall now.

'Canes added depth forward veteran Anthony Wilson this morning. I'm hoping for one more big addition though and Cristall sounds enticing to me. Two big trades between the two same teams in two days though? Doesn't seem likely.

Hey Buff, two questions for you.

Have you heard if Marques is done for the year?

Also, how long until we can expect Gustafson to start playing games?

If Marques is done for the year then the Canes should add another scorer. People have speculated trading him for Cristall so they can have what they need this year and the Rockets can have what they need next year.

The Hitmen have announced that Carter Yakemchuk is out week to week with a lower body injury.

Gus is close. I don't remember the timetable but I thought within the next couple weeks?

Only thing I've heard about Marques is long term.

Speaking of Kelowna, are they even going to be able to ice a competitive team next season as Memorial Cup hosts? I know they got screwed out of hosting the Memorial Cup a few years ago due to COVID, but isn't part of being hosts being a pretty good team? Sure, Kelowna is a beautiful place and late May is a fine time to visit, but it's not going to be a good look if the Rockets have a mediocre team.

I hope not.

I hope they embarrass the #### out of themselves.

I hope they get swept in the 1st round an then host the mem cup with a sub .500 team and get blown out double digits every game. And I hope the Tigers are there after winning the WHL championship and beat them 12-0 in the round robin lol
