Even in an awesomely crafted model, the (c)oil still don’t play defence…

It’s awesome! Unrealistic though as none of the Oilers have fallen over yet.

Just popping in to remind everyone that despite a few wins against a bunch of non-playoff teams lately, Edmonton is still, and will always be no good.

OMG my friend posted a facebook repost of a pic of Draisaitl with the header:
"I don't know about you but this looks like the face of a 2025 Stanley Cup Champion"

LOL

Oiler fans and their media bootlickers say this kind of crap every year, and every year the Oilers fail. And they’ll fail again this year, because that’s what losers do.

The face of a 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 champion?

I wonder what's changed since last year for this to be the year.

Ah, they got worse.

Well that doesn't add up.

They must have gotten the year wrong because next year is the one he makes 14 million instead of 8.5. The extra 5.5 makes him a Cup Champion. Oiler logic.

Yep, he’s on the last year of the best contract in the NHL. The guy has earned every nickel… for just this year alone, he’s leading the league in goals, on pace for 60, I doubt he’ll get that but he’s on pace halfway through.. second in points, 43 points at even strength (that’s 14 more than your leading flame has total, and huberdeau is making 2.5 million more this year) plus he’s +22.. and all that doesn’t take into account how good he is in the playoffs when it matters most. He won’t have the best contract in the league next year, but he’ll be among the top players for at least another 2-4 years barring injuries. Then probably when he gets around 33 things will start to regress, but for now he’s on top of his game and quite possibly the best player out there. Yeah yeah Mackinnon Makar… he’s been better overall than McD this year I’d say, but I think Connor’s saving it for the playoffs. Super exciting season…let’s go Oilers! Bring that cup back home!

Lol. When it mattered the most in game 7 last year, your two best players didn't bother to show up.

Actually crysaddle numbers drop off a cliff when it matters most. Round 2 and on his offence is gone.

I think you managed to bundle nearly every edmonton fan/media trope into one post.

Ultra tone deaf, unable to read the a) thread title and b) website, pumping some low hanging fruit Huberdeau comparison as petty a one-up, trotting out plus-minus like it's indicative of 200 foot play, even wove in obvious insecurities around MacKinnon and Makar's individual talent and stats outshining baby Weeon. Referring to McDavid as Connor as if you're on a first name basic. Etc, etc.

Sounds like your piddled in your unwashed sweatpants typing that.

Two more years (maybe) before this eyesore is taken down? It's been seven years already. Toxic waste must be removed?

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...ears-1.7421261

Mould is probably keeping it from falling down on its own.

I can't decide if the old Coliseum, or the new Rogers place is an uglier looking building.

They are both no good.

I heard they had to truck in the smell to the new building, and many lives were lost.
