I hope you are right about him, he's a likeable lad. How long do you wait though? We are at 30 games. Doesn't seem impatient to me. Is sitting him for a few really such a bad thing?
I don't think anybody said sitting him was impatient.

It was more the "waive him and buy him out in the offseason" comment.

I think you have to treat him as a year two NHLer because of how he was handled in NJD. So he is having a sophomore slump as coach is expecting a more complete game from him. Some popcorn time, to watch and learn - not punishment - will help him.

Maybe playing him at centre messed his head up a bit. He seems to be second guessing himself and thinking too long when he gets the puck.

Nothing like Sportsnet not even bothering to show the 3-1 goal that ended the game.

Calling Canadian fans impatient is a garbage post? I think it's a pretty valid observation, personally.

Claiming anonymous posters are defending him - what is that offering to the conversation? No one is defending him, it's discussion.

The mushy middle sucks!
They picked the rebuild lane only to have the team outperform. Flames have a chip on their shoulders from all the #### talking they heard in the offseason. It's a good thing.

Conroy has to do his job with out pouring cold water on it. That's tough and can be frustrating from our perspective. But the longer this lasts the more it helps the kids. This is priceless in their development. And we have a good pipeline of players. There could be another Zary or Coronato emergence from the prospect pool in the next year or two just form the kids we already have. And more are coming this draft, plus whatever we trade for.

No mushy middle. I think this rebuild will be at least as good as the last one. We had a couple of amazing playoff experiences and they were touted as potential cup winners for a couple of seasons.

As a fan I can't expect much more than that. I can ask for more, but realistically that's about all a team can do - build a team that can legitimately fight for the big prize.

When you say trade anyone who are you talking about outside of Andersson and Vladar? Keep in mind many of these players have either trade protection or contracts hard to move.

Dan Vladar maybe gets you a 5th.

Dan Vladar and his 3.08 GAA and .888 save % keeps the Flames in the hunt to keep their pick this year.

I’d rather just keep him.

I wonder if we are going to see much more of Kuzmenko. He was bad last night and now that he's lost all offensive touch, there's really no reason to have him in the lineup as he's not going to have any worth at the trade deadline and I expect he will be in the KHL next season.

If I was Chicago I would throw a 5th at the Flames and give him a half-season audition. The Hawks need to surround Bedard with some additional skill.

Is Barrie hurt? I don't understand Hanley an undersized defenseman who get zero points. Why not bring up one of the Russian D from the AHL.

Kuz was trying way too hard. He’s in his own head. Constant tapping his stick on the ice, over skating out of position, taking stupid penalties.

His game was a microcosm of the flames all night. Insanely frustrating. Dominated the Preds in chances but what really killed us, besides the terrible special teams, was not executing our chances. Man there must have been 20 almost amazing plays last night. Always just a little bit out of sync, passes bounced or a foot off target, or shots that went off target, guys a bit out of position, one too many passes etc.

On the plus side Huberdeau and Kadri looked good. We just couldn’t finish.

EPSN says November 12th against Vancouver.

Mind you, he played like crap the first half of last season, too, then caught fire the rest of the way. So I'm not ready to write him off completely yet. He'll get other chances to get off the schneid, since it's only a 23-man roster and you can only scratch three players at a time.

I started that. Personally, would be happy to pay something to lose the ads on all platforms and STILL make sure that Bingo et al have enough to go around and maintain the site.

(And I understand there are some who can't afford it.)

MS Edge for browser on Mac and iPhone. Adblock app as well. Zero ads on either platform. CP bliss

He was actually pretty good...couple panalties, maybe they could get a kill.

He also scored a goal but for a quick whistle. He made lots of nice plays just zero luck. I would put him back in with a bigger role.

He said he didn’t know you can’t play with a broken stick.

Low IQ is about right with him.

Kuz will be find a home in Russia next season.

Doubt it. He’s not good enough 5 on 5 and useless on the PP now.

Maybe he gets a PTO who knows. He’s 30.

So, why is that a plan to take Kuzmenko?

He’s not a long term fit in the NHL.

Kuzmenko is who he is.
