I find this type of post to be the most bizarre on CP.
You are willing to defend Junglist's right to post dick-ish things, while at the same time, you do not extend that same right to the posters who call him out for it.
Can you not see the hypocrisy?
The other thing is that you are complaining about the ####, while at the same time defending the ####-disturber.
The way to make CP better is to not have the dick-ish ####-disturbing posts in the first place. It isn't to tell people not to complain about bad posts and posters.

So this is Bingo's fault? (and not Junglist's?)

Mayve if those other pieces are Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar.
And players of those caliber are only available 99% of the time by tanking. And the Flames refuse to tank.

I think wolf is potentially one of these pieces. Then we maybe have parekh. And maybe having someone like Petey in place puts us in real contention to sign real makar in a few years.
Petey+ wolf + parekh +coronato is a nice sounding mix.

That is so over the top.
First off I don't get involved in moderation. I have no bias. I give no marching orders.
I call out #######s.
I don't like rude people in general and have called out people for being "an ass" in many discussions that don't have a lick to do with an insider.
I don't believe someone adding some interest to the site should be attacked personally for doing so.
I have zero problem with someone debating the points of their post.
The poster in question does ####### drivebys daily for anyone that gets more attention than he does. This poster has been this way for basically 20 years under about 6 different handles (estimation).
If you can't see the difference between short, kurt, personal attacks on a person creating discussion and others I can't help you.

I'm a no to Pettersson. Seems like a player that will wilt in the playoffs. And he'll be 27 next season. Find a younger alternative.

How about we trade Huberdeau (half salary) + Pelletier to Montreal for our 1st + cap dump (Josh Anderson) + retained salary (Petry)?
Can they accept? They get Huberdeau who can feed Laine. And former 1st rounder who can help now, instead of drafting late 1st rounder this year who may not play in NHL.

Why would the Flames do that? That is an insane amount (cash and assets) to get one first round pick.

Exactly
It’s the callous rudeness exhibited without adding any value at all that gets some in trouble.

Except for that playoff run where he put up 18 points in 17 games.
Unless we end up picking 1st overall which is just a hope and a prayer, if we ended up with an "Elias Pettersson" from ANY of our 1st round picks over the next 3 years the fan base would be over the moon ecstatic.

|
Connor Zary has 5G, 5A, 10P in his last 13 games (63 pt pace), while centering Sharangovich 0-3-3 and Pelletier 1-4-5. Zary is arguably our best forward, right now.
Coronato is on a 20 goal pace, playing with Backlund. And Coronato is not being carried by the others, at least offensively:
Coronato: 9-10-19
Coleman: 9-10-19
Backlund: 8-10-18.
So it is probably safe to assume that Coronato could produce more, with more productive line-mates, in other words, Zary. I think Coronato is pretty much a 30 goal guy right now, if playing with Zary.
This is why I can't believe people are willing to throw Zary into a deal to acquire Pettersson (for example Andersson + Zary for EP). The Flames aren't going to be competitive for at least 3-4 years. In 4 years, Pettersson is 30, and by that time, I expect Zary will be a better player than him. And if Zary isn't better, then he won't cost $11.6M.
Just say no to EP. And absolutely no way should Zary be included.

My problem is cost and age. Cost will be exhorbitant and while he is exactly what we need positionslly he does come with questions at that cost. Age wise his best years are our build years. If zary progresses as a center and we can add one more top six potential young center and one more top four defence this is a competitive team.
I am on the tear it down group but i see the last piece of that being trading Anderson. Losing a top pair defender will absolutely affect our win loss bottom line.
With another first plus another prospect which is what i expect in a trade we have five picks in the top two rounds of this draft, two firsts in 26 and two 3’rds. We have a plethora of draft capital. We have a plethora of wingers not all if them will make it but even four making it with huby sharky, coronnato, pospisil where do we put them?
I say use some of that winger capital and go after a bourque, or cozens or whoever coaching and scouting staff like and convert some of that wing capital to center under 25 thats a roster player.
Add another up and coming center ala another zary, try land another top four defender. This team is a playoff team. Its why i advocate for trying to land another top ten pick this year because i dont see us getting any worse this than what we are.
Wolf if he continues to progress is going to keep us out if the top ten of a draft. I see this as a last chance to gain picks prospects before the team starts improving, but i dont see Peterson as the way to do it.

I’m also a no on Pettersson. The cost would just be too high. From what you see on a nightly basis from Zary, he is an untouchable IMO… he is playing great at center while still creating scoring chances despite playing with two guys that aren’t producing much themselves.
Would love to see Coronato and Zary on a line together at some point. It feels like Huska is keeping them separated because they are both line drivers at this point so he wants to spread out the scoring. Would rather load up a line with the two of them. Pelletier-Zary-Coronato is my preference.

It’s kind of a manic proposal but I wouldn’t hate it. For get about the Perry piece for a second. You create $5.25 million in cap space at the end of the Anderson contract (3 seasons) right about when it might be useful. And you exchange Pelletier for mid to late first, which I like.

I think Huby can play the role he has right now through his contract. Right now he's on the first line, but when the Flames are good he'll be in a middle six, experienced, 200 foot player role. That's just fine. He seems to be happy too.
So no point in paying another team to benefit from the transformation in Huby's game that we painfully endured,
So if you trade Anderson to MTL then a 1st and probably Dach need to come back the other way. More if we are taking defense dead weight back. Or has the get Dach cheap ship already sailed?

Multiple posts with only one purpose: telling SEC to stop posting. And doing it with a rude tone. And a very long track record of rude posts all over the board.
He stirs the pot with dickish posts on purpose, but if anyone calls him out, they're 'stifling other posters'. Okay then.
