It would be phenomenal if Canada found a coach like what the US has in David Carle that they could stick with and have some consistency and accountability across multiple years. Lots of good young coaches in our country so I can’t imagine it’s not possible.
Brent Sutter won 2 WJC in a row and then won the 8 game Super Series in the following year. He coached Canada Junior elite teams from 2005-2007 with a record of 20-0. Maybe he should take over as CEO of Hockey Canada and fire all of the people nobody has ever heard of and install some consistency in the program.

Hockey Canada needs to fire everyone! But the creeps always win it seems.
Edit: Just dissolve or something. Start a new brand without old heads.
Scott is a joke, he needs to be removed and should have when the previous rape scandal broke as he was apart of that.
Head "scout" Peter Anholt can go too, he clearly doesn't know how to scout.
"we were looking for players with talent and who would compete hard, and we had that" - Ok Peter, you got us! We're all wrong, not you.
"didn't score at times" - You didn't score at all really, you put up stinkers every game.
"We didn't want 1 way players, we didn't want competitors with no skill, we brought what we thought was the best" - You thought wrong Peter, you brought a bunch of guys who SHOULD have got it done but didn't because you left off a bunch of skilled guys who shoulda been there. P.S your coaching decision sucked.

You guys talk about having everyone fired at HC. I’m certain most are just making a random statement. But does anyone actually know the organization’s structure and who specifically you want fired?
I saw Salmond, Anholt and Murray above. Is that it?

Whichever ones you'll give us permission to remove, your lordship

Those are the 3 at the top pretty much.
There's 1 gal who oversees all of them, forget her name.
They brought her in when the rape scandal hit, she was supposed to fix everything.

I saw it on twitter today when the media asked why they didn't practice, Dave Cameron said the players were tired and they want to give them some rest. ( I'm only paraphrasing here)
I’ll be honest I find Mike Johnson to be an insufferable homer. Is he better than Pierre Maguire? Sure but that’s a low bar. Gord has been top notch PBP buy at this tourney for a long time. But he’s been cursed with terrible colour guys. He needs someone knowledgeable and passionate about the junior game without just being a team Canada cheerleader who ####s all over the tournament and officiating. I get the officiating can be suspect and I’m fine calling them out but Johnson is on another level.
I can’t stand Ray Ferraro but he is at his least worst when doing WJC colour. He does a lot of homework on players on other teams.

For those that follow HC closer than I, is it not true that Canada still dominates the U18 and Hlinka/Gretzky tournaments? Is it not basically the same administrative body that picks those players? I understand there is always politics in play, and with a large group to choose from, the inevitable "snub", but how do they do reasonably well with the younger group? Could it all be on Cameron?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
World Juniors also isn't best on best we probably hold it in too high of regard. I mean Bedard was eligible. (Although I'm not sure Cameron would like his 2 way play enough)

So the NHL scouts are wrong? 1st rounders left at home

One interesting idea would be to stop all leagues for a period of time - either over the holidays, or in Feb, or whatever makes sense - and have best on best at every level at the same time.

Bedard, Celebrini and Benson could have all played in this tourney. Also 4th OA Cayden Lindstrom who is out with injury.
People always forget these things while they laugh at Canada for losing.
