Exceptionally stupid.
Yep, the challenge just took all the wind put of Canada's sail. I'd have let it go and let the kids keep the pressure up. Instead now they have to kill 2 minutes and then regain the pressure.

I think the challenge was that he was pushed in. But even if successful what’s the outcome, a penalty or a goal? Weird to challenge that.

Do you fellate your boss when he books the wrong crews for the job, runs up OT, misorders materials, but gets the job done by some miracle even if it's over budget and not to spec? Mission accomplished amirite?

You think he was 'shoved'?

C'mon, that was a very easy call, there's a reason they took all of 30 seconds to review it.

Like... what do you think was more likely? Canada winning that challenge, or scoring a goal in the next two minutes afterwards given the pressure they were putting on? I think they were more likely to score by now if they didn't have to kill a penalty, just me though.

The defensive player tied him up, and didn't push him in.

Cataford had ample time to dig his stop in deeper instead he let himself get shoved in. It was a good call on the ice and a bad challenge.

Now it's 4v4. They should deploy Marrone and McKenna together.
