They really do need to bench Dickinson. Hate to pile on a young kid, but he's doing everything wrong at there. Tonight is just not his night. It happens.

So disjointed. No control of the neutral zone.

What was McKenna doing. Just glides back and throws up his hands. What a terrible team.

Should be a good panel interview.
So much wrong with this team from day 1.

Bonk and Dickinson were supposed to be the two best defensemen, but they have easily been the two worst defensemen on the team.

I can't imagine any player on that team being confident, unless they are delusional. Pressure without the fun.

I don't root against Canada but a loss could provoke a proper look at how they are building these teams. Apparently they made a decision a while ago, to pick the best players, knowing they could adapt to whatever role required. So what happened here?
I would hope for an examination across GM, coach and team selection.
This squad completely lacks any level of dynamic skill. Even those that have it - have been ineffective.

One major issue is nobody moves their feet to get open to support the puck carrier. They’re very static. They actually don’t really look like they’re working that hard. For example if you watched the Sweden Latvia game this morning, nobody taking any shifts off. This one, it’s some shifts good some shifts float / watch.
You have to move your feet to get open. Gotta put the work in.

Yager and Luchanko for me. They've been getting better the this tournament has gone on, but they're also probably done and burnt out with all the heavy lifting they do on the PK.

Maybe Hockey Canada needs to spend less time paying off sexual assault victims and more time building hockey teams.
