Actually, for Team Canada their tournament most likely ends tonight.

I think Czechia is the more skilled and disciplined roster.

To not even practice has crossed that boundary between bad coaching to totally idiotic. Especially after how the team has played to this point.

It’s like the difference between negligence and gross negligence.

I won't be shedding a tear if this Team Canada is punted tonight. Having a thug like Easton Cowan wearing our maple leaf is sickening.

It passes into intentional sabotage. The whole braintrust should be purged

I don't understand what your argument is.

We traded Lindholm, Hanifin, Tanev, Mangiapane and Markstrom over the last year. Do you really think this is the same team from the beginning of last year?

We have ZERO 1st line forwards. This is not a talented team. And to answer your question about the Sharks and Blackhawks.... I would take Bedard or Celebrini in exchange for almost our entire forwards. Players with elite skill sets like that win you championships in the future.

How is Latvia still in this game? When I looked earlier the shots were 19 to 2 for Sweden and it was 2-0. Now I tune back in to check the score and it’s 3 to 2 for Sweden and shots are 39 to 11.

I went back to rewatch what happened, and Sweden was up 3-0, shots 28-3, with a 5 on 3, and they scored just after the penalties expired to make it 4-0.

But they gained the zone offside with 3 seconds left in the first minor. So goal was called off, time reset, and that one really good player for Latvia scored twice with some goals the Swedish goalie should have had.

Let’s go Latvia! Continue the Cinderella story!

This is a group of players that was slapped together a few weeks ago not a regular team that has a lot of experience playing with one another. Seems strange he wouldn't have them skating just to help build chemistry and work on special teams and other fine details.

He’s correct that the players need to start making better decisions. The majority of the penalties are selfish ones. Like punches to the head or stuff after the whistle ect. That is on the player. Be smarter. Very selfish way to play.

Guess we’ll find out soon enough if they can figure it out. If they don’t it could be one of the worst canadian showings in the tournament history.

Even if he happens to be right and it’s widely understood, he should be standing with them, and he just doesn’t seem to be. At least from my view.

Phhhhffftttt ask Brent Sutter

Props to Latvia.......and their goaltender. Made it a lot closer than most people were expecting.

Pretty amazing tourney for that team. Good for them.

Yeah LAST season before trading all the supposed best players.

Tanev, Lindholm, Hanifin, Zadorov, Mangiapane, Markstom out. Team with a better record.

Jason Bukala on the Kipper show and the two of them just ripped into Canada, the coaching decision and lack of any sort of push back or adaptation to the game as it unfolds.

Both specifically singled out Cowan for being that “Toronto” pick who is often overhyped and underperforms. Said he is playing well outside his capability and criticized his greedy play from shift length to lack of creativity and trying to do everything himself.

Sad wake up call, but he’s not what he thinks he is. They said he needs to get back to playing the fast, hard nosed game and get away from the superstar, dangle around everyone and take a perimeter shot constantly.

Jason said he’s the one guy taking abysmally long shifts well over a minute on average and doing absolutely nothing with it.

I don’t see Canada winning tonight unless McKenna reunites with Martone and carries this team in his back.

The assistant coach said they hung out as dudes yesterday. Played games and just had fun.

No wonder they cancel practice, probably tired from the night before doing dude things.
