Pelletier-Zary-Sharangovich line was absolutely dominant tonight. Chances were 12-0 with them on the ice at 5v5. Yegor just needs to regain a bit of his confidence and I think that trio will be electric.

Huberdeau is playing outstanding hockey.

Happy New Years!

I have to say,

Weegar is our team MVP and future caption. He made Miromanov look like a top 4 dman, and now Hanley. Kudos and team MVP for 2024.

Pelletier just continues improving. He makes so many good little plays. I think he goes unnoticeable for a few shifts - but that's not so bad as he isn't making egregious mistakes out there. He has been solid defensively for the most part, especially given his age and experience. His playmaking and vision are really coming together, and eventually his chances are going to start going in more regularly. Hopefully this is his coming out party - may never never go back to the AHL again.

Team defense has looked really good.

Wolf is the real deal.

We're in a playoff spot.

Fun rebuild!

Huby turning around, in a wildcard spot to start the new year. Zary goal. Can't be mad at that. Happy New Year everyone:

Great win. Another game where vets and kids were contributing.

Coronato, Zary, wolf and Pelletier were all fantastic tonight.

Coronato: this kid looks like a legit top line scoring winger. His quick release and accuracy are fun to watch. Add the fact that he has turned into a burner who uses his speed effectively. His defensive game is also really strong.

Zary: looks like a legit centreman at this point. And he’s already the best 1-on-1 player on the team. He is constantly trying new moves and beating defenders. Such a skillled and smart player.

Pelletier: is turning into the middle six forward I was hoping for. Smart defensive game and also has the skill to make skilled plays in the offensive zone. Hope he keeps this up as he looks better and better every game.

Wolf: what can you say? Have not had a goaltender that is this much of a calming influence on the team since kipper in his prime. He is so sharp at everything. He is also the most entertaining goalie to watch in the league - and I don’t think it’s really close. His movement and speed make him more fun to watch than the vast majority of goalies who are mostly just big. He is reading plays, anticipating and being aggressive because he is smaller. Makes for much more movement that is also controlled. Like it or not - Wolf might be what keeps this team from ever “bottoming out”. He’s living up to the hype and it’s his rookie year.

I’ll be honest. I hate the Canucks. I also hate the Oilers.

The fact that the Flames beat the canucks makes me happy.

Happy new year everyone. I’m calling it now. Flames make the conference final.

12-5-2

Back into the top 10, tied for 8th in save percentage.

Time to fire up the Calder conversation again.

Letting Pelletier cook in the Ahl last year vs just bringing him up because ppl wanted to is why we are seeing him have success this year.

People need to remember this when talking about just bringing up Kerins early.

We finally have a goalie that will be here for the long run. Let’s just focus on that, and build from there
