I am so sick of lame ass teams from Chicago getting undeserved national broadcast games. Just because Chicago is a big market, the 'Hawks, Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and Sox are all just awful, and it does the respective leagues a disservice to use them to try to market the leagues to the casual fan, with these sub-standard products. It is also embarrassing to the fans of those teams to showcase them when they clearly suck. I did not watch the gimmicky outdoor game, where conditions and hype, make for a sub standard game. Just as I did not watch the Bears playing a game they had no time to prepare for, on a short week Thursday game. There are far more deserving and under exposed teams to be highlighted on the National or, in the case of the NHL, International, stage.
