Another lazy play by Rasmus.
He knew exactly what he was doing didn't get away with it. It's a penalty especially since it sprung him.
Game over now.

Only question now is whether Samsonov will compete the shutout.

#### Vegas. #### stone. #### Eichel. #### Treliving. Knowing what happened, I wish we had traded Tkachuk for Eichel.

It's a penalty that 100% would have been ignored if roles were reversed and a Vegas player did that exact same thing while trailing 1-0.
Like Dino mentioned last night with the Flames winning the Sharks guys could drop their gloves and grab Pospisil late in the third and all the refs just ignore it.
Game management only applies in certain scenarios and that's the annoying part of being an NHL fan.

Other than hating Vegas, this is an okay loss.

On the Eichel front, I wonder what the offer was that made us the runner-up. Nothing concrete has ever come out, and I still don’t think Tkachuk was part of it. I hope we find out one day.
That’s behind us though, and as far as attracting players to Calgary the new arena will help, but you’re right - and the best shot we’ll have to win on stuff like free agent signings (like VGK did with Pieterangelo) will be to draft players that other players WANT to play with. That has to be the focus for Conroy right now.
|
There’s reporting on this. Stone refused to talk to Calgary or Winnipeg about an extension but was happy to talk to Vegas, and did the deal before being traded.

If the comet doth cometh, may it touch ground at T-Mobile or Rogers Place.

Millen said it best when we were down 1-0. Just not enough in the tank on a back to back and there isn’t a player on this team who can will a goal on talent and skill alone. The lack of elite superstar talent is evident on a night like this.

I'm not so sure. It was blatant, and directly affected the Flames get an advantage.
Didn't see the Sharks thing but different game, and it's Pospisil who it's been made clear that he's the one player on the Flames where the refs have different rules for different players, especially ones that play on the edge and/or are looking to draw calls the other way.
