It’s not only that they aren’t looking for others but nobody is ever open or in the right spot to take a pass. And then in the few exceptions where they did pass it nobody could receive it, kept bouncing off sticks.
That was an ugly period of lazy, uninspired hockey.

Canada has 7 goals in 3 games and they haven’t played the US yet.
That’s what’s wrong.
No offense, no teamwork outside of 1 line.
A powerplay that’s just terrible when it’s historically the best in the tournament (35%+)
This team has been the worst it’s been in almost a decade.

Every time the McKenna/Catton line is out there they seem to generate a scoring chance or two, then we don't see them again for what feels like half a period.
These coaches are boneheads

Latvia Germany must be absolutely salivating going into the 3rd with a very realistic chance of winning this game.

It's still questionable to me how Michael Misa and Zayne Parekh could be the two best players on the Memorial Cup winning team from last season, and both eligible to play for Canada at this tournament, but somehow I guess they aren't even qualified enough to be invited to the initial selection camp roster.
Like if they were one dimensional players that were putting up crazy points on a bad team then I could see the argument about their game a little bit, but if those two guys aren't good enough then how did their team win the memorial cup with them leading the way.
London: Cowan, Bonk, Dickinson
Saginaw: Parekh, Misa
Moose Jaw: Yager
Drummondville: Gauthier
All those guys played in the memorial cup last year and it's weird to me that only the Saginaw guys got the snub.

Just some of them shouldn't be here, and that's because of Dave Cameron and whoever else from Hockey Canada picked this team.
