Default NSH-COL Parssinen, 7th for Ondrej Pavel and a 3rd.

As per Friedman. Good buy-low trade for the Avs. Pavel is 24, a center, undrafted, and has 12 points in 77 AHL games, so just a contract.

Fabbro, Parssinen, and Tomasino for a 3rd & 4th feels so bad by Trotz.

In the offseason I think if you said a package of those three was available you would have been able to get a decent piece in return.

Excellent trade for Colorado, Parssinen will fit in nicely in their bottom-6 with a new lease on life.

Steal by Colorado. 3rd line center and 2nd PP, every day.

Seems like Nashville is going for the death by 1000 papercut strategy for dismantling their team.

might just be me obviously, but not sure Trotz has made any move as Nashville GM so far that I've liked. Just feels like a mess.

Remember when Trotz threatened the team he would start the rebuild plan if they didn’t start winning.

He has traded a bunch of young players since.

No joke if I am Nashville I give him the boot. Some people are meant to be coaches only.

Fabbro with 8 points in 20 games since joining Columbus, and a +12. Tomasino with 4 goals and 5 points in 12 games with Pittsburgh.

It's a decent gamble for COL. Parssinen was in the coach's dog house to start the season, so I can see him becoming a more consistent middle 6, 0.5PPG player.

That's definitely not the direction NSH should be heading in. Like before, I'm still wondering if any of their other more sheltered forwards become available, in particular Evangelista and Novak.

thing is, I thought Poile set them up brilliantly for a rebuild at his last trade deadline. Traded Niederreiter, Jeannot, Ekholm and Granlund for two 1sts, three 2nds, a 3rd, two 4ths and a 5th. Then Trotz immediately goes and signs expensive "win now" guys in their 30s (O'Reilly, Nyquist, Schenn), gets fooled by a cinderella run, brings in more expensive "win now" guys in their 30s, only on bigger and longer contracts this time (Stamkos, Marchessault, Skjei). Basically took him two summers to turn a rebuild-ready franchise with assets into an old-ass team that needs to win now, but can't. Giving away young guys with potential for meh returns just is the icing on the cake at this point.

Hopefully he's not daft enough to trade Evangelista, but some other team will cash in if he does. I would also gladly take Zach L'Heureux, or Fedor Svechkov- who was one of my favorites in his draft.
