in kelowna most of the fire halls are only manned with one crew and they will always take their primary vehicle (in kelowna that's an engine) out any time they are out of the hall in case they need to respond to a call.
i was in superstore a couple years ago and there was a fire crew in there grabbing some stuff and they got a call. the one guy gave their buggy to an employee and said "we'll be back soon to finish shopping'" and they booked it out of there to respond to their call.
i'll always cut them a TON of slack along with any first responders.
**and Black Archer... the fire lane comment was gold! ha! ha!

I’ve seen them have to leave their grocery carts and go. They can park where they want.

Yeah, I remember being in the North Hill Safeway (there is a Firehall next door) and suddenly they got the call and they left their carts aside and bolted out. Think the Safeway employees put some of the perishable food back for them.

They're on duty, Firehalls have more than one truck, when 911 gets the dispatch no one wants to hear "They're all driving back in Dave's f150, once we get back we'll gear up and head out". Nah, #### that. Dumb take dude.

What? So if someone is overdosing or a fire breaks out they will drive a commuter truck back to the station and gear up the rig?

How does the truck in front slow everyone down ? The 30 seconds to go around and go park in your normal spot ?
So confused at this GG

I don't think it would in any discernable way, imo.

The proliferation of laser projectors as Christmas decorations in recent years GMG.
Walking through a park yesterday and getting a revolving laser glancing past my face despite being hundreds of meters away is annoying to begin with, but arguably the worst part is that they don't even look good on the house that has them. Set up normal lights like a human or don't, but this laser bs needs to stop.
Merry Christmas, everyone else.

So has Boxing Day pretty much died? Was searching around to see what I could find and there's almost nothing. And anything advertised as Boxing Day deals are just weekly specials.

Yup, with Black Friday and Cybertruck Monday, taking over late November and early December, Boxing Day is just another name to tack onto this week's flyers.
