Yeah, I don't have any ill will towards Jake and I wish it would have worked out with the Stamps (it started out quite well). If he does indeed sign in Regina, I hope he does well (just not against Calgary).

Yup he is a good guy.
He would have a been a good backup here but I can understand why everyone wants to move on. I think the type of QB we want is one who can make plays with his feet.
Also I saw a picture of Lewis and Adams. Howell made some comments about how the team is open to his changes on offence and made a comment about Lewis as well. If he doesn’t sign in Edmonton I wonder if he becomes our top target with Philpot back.

I hope nothing for the best for Jake, the last couple of years haven't been good, and its time for the old change of scenario. But he was a good ambassador for the team, and seemed like a good guy under a lot of pressure.

Sure Jake is a nice guy and did what he could.
He just isn't a good enough QB though. Him playing for a rival works just fine for me.

The Edmonton Elks and Cody Fajardo have agreed to terms on a restructured contract for the 2025 season, per sources.
The 32-year-old enters training camp as the team’s backup quarterback behind Canadian Tre Ford.
Fajardo was acquired via trade from the Montreal Alouettes on Tuesday, December 17 with one year remaining on his existing deal worth $482,000. The Elks had a deadline to strike a new pact with the veteran that would allow him to co-exist with Ford’s rising salary prior to a $200,000 off-season bonus which was scheduled to be due on January 15.

The way starting QBs get passed around in this league, you would expect Jake to land somewhere... but it's Jake. I can't imagine anyone else valuing him as much as DD did these past few years.

It's a bit of a league issue to have musical QB's every season like this. Hard to get attached to teams or build rivalries when the only thing that stays the same every year is the jersey colors. I feel I spend the first month of the CFL season getting used to who's playing where.

Hopefully we can get Stevens re-signed and Dickenson uses him properly. (Every short yardage play)
Adams/Walker/Stevens would be so much better then what we had last year.

It was part of a release not a big announcement probably why most didn’t see it. Don’t think it’s a big loss. He was in and out of the lineup.
100% the Stamps are going to going big game hunting. Plus we have good weapons already and a returning Henry.
Being able to get behind coverage is going to be huge with VA going for big plays. Speed and good route running. I saw some lazy routes being run last year need that cleaned up.
