Rangers are wack these days. Such a drama factory over there.

We are weak at centre and have guys like Backs (old) and Rooney that may not be here that long. Krebs is the right age and would slot into a middle six slot well.
Even if you play them as wingers, it’s good to have two centres on a line in case of Referee face off drama in important face offs - guys getting waived off the face off dot, etc.
If all it costs is Miromanov then you deal from strength to address a need. Easy decision.

Like poster above have stated, if Miro is the cost you pay that alllllll day without batting an eye.
However, I don't see much offensive potential there. I see him as a solid bottom 6 forward who plays hard and provides some depth scoring when needed.
If we bring him in, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him on a third line with Pelts and Zary.
Would leave us as follows :
Huberdeau-Kadri-Sharky
Coleman-Backlund-Coronato
Pelletier-Zary-Krebs
Lomberg-Rooney-Pospisil
Wonder if Buffalo would entertain bringing in Kuzy somewhere in the deal as I doubt Miro is enough alone.
Miro + Kuzy (retained) for Krebs

As much as the Flames need two MacKinnon level centers in some posters view if they ever want to be an elite team ..there's still a need for future 3rd and 4th line ones too. So if Krebs can play in that role and you can get him for a 4th, I can't hate that move. But no way he should cost anything close to what Kakko went for

Miro > Miro + Kuzmenko.
Kuzmenko is back to where he was when we obtained him, simply a cap dump with negative value.

Yeah, we're starting to creep far enough into the season where even a hot streak by Kuzmenko isn't going to entice any serious playoff contender to give up anything of value for him. It's really too bad.

I would not be taking Pospisil off of the Kadri line anytime soon. More or less since they put him with Kadri and Huberdeau his two linemates have become PPG players. I would leave that well enough alone until they stop being that.
In a world where they got Krebs I would leave the Kadri and Backlund lines alone and play Krebs (who is almost 55% on the dot this year) between Yegor and Zary. Move Pelletier down to the 4th line.

That would be my guess.
Either already traded or it's really close.

I tend to agree, but the only problem is that Pelletier has 4 points in 8 games…

Could be performance based. Just one assist on the season, and has 1 goal in his last 9 games. Kakko isn't around to be scratched anymore.

With Coleman heating up to almost a 20 goal pace now I wonder what type of market there may be for him. Affordable contract, proven winner who does all the things that you need done in the playoffs and has a proven scoring touch. With Pelletier starting to look like an NHL player I wonder if Conroy would feel like he has more freedom to entertain a Coleman trade and move Pelletier up to the Backlund line.

Given the turnstile that has been Huberdeau’s linemates since he got here and my personal belief that confidence is a big thing for Huberdeau I would be disappointed if they messed around with that line anytime soon. Not sure he can maintain a 107 point pace for the rest of the season that he has been on over the past 10 games but I would leave well enough alone until the numbers start to dip again.
I would be all over moving Coleman if the return was what Conroy wanted and trying Pelletier out on that line.

Is a team allowed to fire its GM during this Holliday freeze? I tend to think Dolan is the type who would take extreme pleasure in firing and laying people off during a 6:30 call on December 25th.

Isn't Drury there because the last GM wasn't a yes man? I think Barn burner discussed this with Dreger last week. This vindictive, dramatic style of management might be what Dolan wants.

Speculation is NYR have nothing in place yet scratched him just because they can.
This situation is NY is absolutely crazy, most people assumed Krieder was going to take over the “C” when Trouba was moved.
Drury has officially imploded that dressing room, might be the most toxic situation we’ve seen in years.

Send him here as a cap dump, throw in some picks and a prospect and we’ll take him off their hands. They can have Hanley. Although maybe about 6 years late.

After Kakko there's really nothing I'd want on the Flames that isn't adding a ton of money of the wrong age bracket.
Maybe a few of their prospects but they're not going to beoving them any time soon.
How to hem yourself into a corner, by Chris Drury.
Drury might be the worst overall GM in the league in the most opposite way possible from the one I think is the worst in Kevyn Adams.
