Rampage limped along for longer than it had any right to.
Those first few weeks of Rampage were so strong. First Dance should have been remembered as one of the biggest moments in AEW's existence for positive reasons. And what a moment it was.

With Rampage going away and Collision not having a viewer audience this could be the best time for Tony to cut back on his roster.
He doesn't need a roster of that size.

Now would be a great time for a Canadian company to step up and put together a product with a weekly TV show.
There's enough talent. Run smaller venues and focus on strong stories. Filter in TV time for a local or two (cross promote have a local company's top guys wrestle promote the company) move to the next town. It'd also help keep the roster manageable.
Throw that on TSN and away we go

AEW's Texas adventure up to 10k tickets sold. If the pace keeps the initial freakout will seem pretty damn silly.

Didn't what's his name from TNA just restart maple leaf wrestling. Its early day and it takes time, and wrestling is probably a tough sell on a TSN or Sportsnet with WWE and AEW eating hours.
I'm all for restarting Stampede Wrestling, and getting local TV for it. Anyone want to give me about a million bucks.
It'll be all unknown young wrestlers and we'll rip off the name of established stars. Just think of the possibilies of the Brawl for the Mall PPV look at this lineup
Bulk Hogan versus Stank
Screwdriver Ramon vs Mid sized Daddy kewl unleaded
For the Womans Stampede World Title We have Barry Lynch versus Sasha Gas Station
In a three way match we will have Bob Lesnar with his manager Paul Dayman verus The Pitcrew tag team of Rob "accelerator Pedal" Holly and Marty Jennetty (he's actually willing to work for hot dogs and tang so its the real deal)
And in a special Big Top tent match Boink the Clown verus the Swedish Pornstar Boing Penis.

I would be surprised if they didn't have a feud. It would make him calling him out couple months ago go to waste if they didn't.
There's also rumors going around it will eventually happen. I won't go into details in case you don't want it spoiled when/if it happens.

Its a non televised live event so there's a certain amount of weird goofiness that's allowed to pop the fans.
I remember going to events at the dome where absolutely goofy stuff happened.
At one event I went to in Dallas a blood feud match literally became a musical number.

Punk/Seth promo off the charts tonight. What a way to end the year... Great stuff! I can't wait for next week.

Rare for a main event promo to live up to its position on the card.

This is the promo the Elite and Punk should have done three to six months after Brawl Out. Instead it's Seth Rollins being believable on the mic for the first time in I don't know how long.
If. IF. If this promo leads into a feud that has this type of energy, vitriol and hype created by the animosity that Punk's victim complex creates in others all the way through it. If that happens, it has the potential for Punk to have back-to-back years of the best feud in wrestling stemming from events that happened in AEW. With no titles involved. With no contrived build up. And something they can milk for 3 - 6 months if they do it right.
Neat.

Meanwhile The Bucks, Perry, and even Daniels are no longer on AEW television. Punk and Omega could have worked together, and put on banger matches. That's probably the direction they would have gone down if the events at Wembley didn't happen.
I still don't understand what they were trying to do with the Bucks, Okada, and Perry taking out Khan. Spilt milk that went nowhere... Imagine if Punk stuck around and took out Tony. Punk wins the title and goes on a vicious heel run, only for Omega to return and get revenge for Punk's heinous actions.
Usually taking out the owner/authority figure would be the biggest story of the year, but in this case it was immediately forgotten about. Then Moxley's crew did almost the same thing and again nobody seems to care.

On that note, I really don't want to see Daniel's wrestle again, he's done enough, He's given enough. Its time for him to move back stage.

That angle has really only worked once and it was Cactus Jack in ECW when he went anti-hardcore and most of his matches were headlocks and begging off. But it worked because Foley was tremendously creative and could play off of Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk and yes ECW.
