Gelinas has been in a player development role with the Flames.

"You may or may not know Brad Larsen, one of the assistant coaches, he's left the team (he's literally one of their coaches Brad), he's dealing with a family matter. He's left the team the last few weeks and probably gone the unforeseeable future, so we wish him all the best, so.....ANYWAYS the fun part! We've got a call up hahahahaha!!!".
