They actually spent a fortune this summer and significantly improved their squad.

The problem is the way they were sent out to play. It was just nuts. Russell Martin insisted on keeping the ball on the ground and playing a possession based system, even away from home and against the big guns. I'm only an armchair observer and even I know that the only way the promoted teams have a chance of staying up is to soak up pressure and hoof the ball forward. Look at how Ipswich play, it may not be pretty, but they are giving themselves every chance possible to avoid relegation.

Martin should have been sacked after the Liverpool match a month ago. Look at the opening goal in this video at about 25 seconds in. Both the goalkeeper and the defender attempt to play short passes right into the middle of the penalty box:

hard to imagine he'll have a big market, given the combination of high wages and poor play ... but stating something like this publicly, he might already have something lined up (some think PSG, but we'll see). Either way, best decision for everybody involved.

I'd take him at Arsenal.
I think he has more to give and we desperately need a striker. Considering the lack of other options likely out there, take a chance on him in January on loan with option to buy.

I mean...he's better than what you've got, but not by much. Especially not considering his wages.

I dont know where he ends up. He's got talent and tools but he is wildly inconsistent.

PSG is perfect because he would probably kill it in that league, and they can afford the wages.

Rashford at striker? He is literally pathetic at the 9. Barely adequate playing his usual LW spot. Do you really want one of the laziest overpaid players in the EPL? There is no way they loan him out to a Premier League team anyway.

Olympiakos is looking for a striker...

you have to hand it to City, they are really putting together an incredible run. Honestly never seen such an implosion of a top team in my life.

And what happened to Haaland? When was the last time he scored? When he got to City he was scoring for fun and now he can't buy one.

Their attack is non-existent. They can't generate anything from wide play and their midfield is dead right now. When he was slumping last year it was cause he couldn't finish, now he's not even getting chances. Devo is right, this fall off is pretty monumental, they look terrible.

yeah. The really crazy thing is that you can't blame any of this on bad luck or whatever ... they deserve to lose these games, they are genuinely second best in almost every game these days. They aren't creating any chances from open play, which also explains Haalands struggles. He's never been one to engage in link up play, he's a pure sniper. If you don't feed him, he's non-existent. Which is exactly what is happening at the moment.

You're declaring an Arsenal loss already?

Yes. Yes I am.

No, seriously, I'm just saying who would have predicted Forest in top 4 at the beginning of the season?

Its impressive. Will it last? We'll see. But its still a big accomplishment.

The Forrest run is fantastic; they just keep going.
I have a friend who's a big Forrest supporter and he's in disbelief.
I hope they make a Champions League spot.

I mean credit to Ange for never wanting to defend, but getting clapped like this can't be too much fun.

There are so many injuries that I don’t think anyone expected this to be fun. I mean really, we’re playing a better squad, on more rest and they’re in form. It was never going to be easy.
