I know in your head McDavid is the #1C in the league and Draisaitl is the #2C. Just keep in mind there is only 1C per line and THEY PLAY ON THE SAME LINE.

The reason this board leads people to believe he isn’t a Top 5 C is because he isn’t a Top 5 C. He plays almost primarily wing because it’s the only way the Oilers are competitive, and when he does play C he certainly isn’t top 5 due to frequently committing colossal defensive gaffs. He will always be a top point getter because he takes chances offensively at the expensive of 200ft responsibility.

Yeah and he absolutely is not a 2-way Centre, have you seen him defensively? The number of 'controller disconnected' moments he has as soon as he hits his own blueline are insane!
