Vladar is a guy I cheer for all the time. Almost more than anyone else on the team. You can tell he doesn’t take things for granted. He’s very humble and you could tell he’d do anything for his teammates and his team.

I’ll always root for those guys.

Remember how Knight and Wolf were the US goalies in the World Junior Tourney a few years ago? Wolf didn't get a sniff because Knight was tall which made him superior.

Nice to see how things are working out for those two in their pro-careers. Knight struggling to keep an NHL job, while Wolf is turning into a star!

That's not fair to Knight. He's still a good goalie, he's just coming back from mental rehab.

It’s funny how teams seem to overrate size. How many times were Fleury and Gaudreau passed up for only one reason? Now Wolf looks as good as anyone else in this league.

I don't think it's that simple.

In the post game media availability, Huska went out of his way to say how good Coleman - Backlund - Corronato were. He also said how close Backlund and Coleman are, and how together they always stabilize the other winger and male them so, so, much better.

He said they split them up because they hoped that they both could each make players a lot better even when on different lines. Effectively, double their positive and strengthen more of the roster.

He essentially admitted it didn't work like they hoped. I expect Backlund and Coleman to be a line pair from here onward.

Tough spot to be in. You want them to do well, but they keep doing what they are doing and they'll end up drafting something like 26th and 29th overall while they send the 12th overall pick to the Habs.

Ouch

MacLean said that Flames fans boo Vlader when he starts home games because they want Wolf in net...

Bieksa asked why don't Flames fans howl when Wolf makes a big save, etc.

the first doesn't happen and the second does happen.

Didn't know where to put this, but on the Fan960 they mentioned that both of Wolf's shutouts have come on full moons. I thought they were joking, but sure enough. Dec 15 full moon. Wolf 3-zip. Nov 15 full moon. Wolf 2-0 zip vs Preds.

Next full moon is on Jan 13 at Chicago. Also the January full moon is called the Wolf moon.
