These drones over Jersey and elsewhere

Not sure who else is following this story, but obvious assumption is a bunch of nerds gathered online and planned this? Plenty of people eating it up though and suggesting some historic event is imminent.

Those 'nerds' must have deep pockets and a jail sentence wish, because having drones that are the size of cars, being undetectable by helicopter sorties and radio frequencies, and jetting off at high speeds when approached must be an expensive and risky hobby.

There are a couple of youtubers I'll be following that are heading down with proper low light gear to investigate these things.

I think we'll learn more from those people than the news stations or anything official. They've been useless to this point.

Given the size of these things (saw a less fuzzy photo of one that looked pretty military- had 6 props on it) I'm guessing military drone testing. Still plenty of questions to be answered though.

I had somewhere I needed to be and in the spirit of the season I adorned the tips of the rotors and the body of my helicopter with what, I thought at the time, were very festive lights.

That and when they say they pose no risk but they don't know where they came from or who is responsible. If they really didn't know those things, then they can't say they pose no threat. And if they posed a threat, they would taking it more seriously.

Some of it is 100% people being unable to identify normal objects in the sky that have been there every day.

For example, one guy's video of an "orb drone with a force field" was just Venus.

In some videos you can hear the plane engines of what are clearly planes.

Conveniently, the accounts of 50 or so drones flying up out of the ocean doesn't have any video evidence..

I’ve been curious about this for a few weeks now and I do lean towards some kind of military testing going on.

But they have let the hysteria really ramp up to a point where it’s probably prudent to just admit to the testing at this point versus the public upheaval that’s taking place.

Weird they haven’t admitted it. It’s such a bizarre situation

Former governor of Maryland Larry Hogan posted a video he took that he claims shows drones

"Last night, beginning at around 9:45 pm, I personally witnessed (and videoed) what appeared to be dozens of large drones in the sky above my residence in Davidsonville, Maryland (25 miles from our nation’s capital). I observed the activity for approximately 45 minutes."

And then the community note follows
"The stars at the 39 second mark are recognizably the constellation Orion. From this you can determine that the bright lights behind the trees are the stars Sirius and Procyon. No anomalous objects are apparent in this video."

So not drones, they are stars. People are dumb.
