That sucks.

Technically three guys on the D radar for TC and not even one gets invited to camp? Brutal

Misa and Basha would be on my team given what I saw of them at nhl camp, as well the solid seasons they're having.

It's one thing to snub for other great players but they're snubbing these guys for clearly worse players.

Really? I would think all the pressure will be on management given their curious decision making for the roster.

Sorry, I meant the team as a whole. Those players though are going to be reading all of the things said about these decisions too.

Team Canada isn’t alone. I remember when Dahlin was on team Sweden. There was one game in particular, an elimination game IIRC, where they had him stapled to the bench until the last 6 mins or so.

It was a bit odd. He was a few months away from going 1OA, and a highly regarded one at that.

My GAF meter for this tournament just nosedived. Was finally hoping I'd get invested this year in the team since Flames finally have some representation. Guess not. I honestly don't care about Team Canada if it didn't have any Flames prospects. I remember actively cheering for the US when it was Johnny vs. Nuge back in 2012.

Who the heck chose this roster? Bob Nicholson and Kevin Lowe?

Parekh not happy about it, but knows he did what he could control.
Pisses me off even more, these kids dream to be apart of it and you look at who was selected over him and just laugh.

Beau Akey? Hes like a budget wish.com version of Parekh but was drafted by Bob’s team, go figure.

Team Canada took a very defensive approach once they got Babcock in the fold back in 2010.

Seems like it applies to the defence as well.

It feels like in part they built the roster to beat the Americans specifically, focused on shutting down their top line

I've always cheered for Flames first. Canada second

When Wolf and Gaudreau was on the US team, (even Tyler Parsons), I was always cheering for the Americans

I'll be doing the same this year but for different reasons. Can't beleive the all star cast they left off the invite list

Ridiculous

A dumb way to build a team.

Just build the best team.

Same thing in with Team Canada in the Olympic. 2014 was really focused on shutting everyone down. We had the skill to just play hockey and win.

Which in the long run players 3, 6, 7 and 9 will likely be much.
better players, so it doesn’t really matter.

well of course (or I'd hope so). but its also fun for fans of teams to see their players in tournaments of this nature

Well the really bizarre part is (ignoring fan outrage) that this isn't even the team. It's the camp. You think you don't have room for Parekh and Yakemchuk? Bring them both and let them fight it out in camp. Yakemchuk is not even eligible next year, so it's a real slap in the face to not even bring him to camp.

Going to camp and not making the cut is one thing, but not even getting the chance is pretty whacked.

Yea, that’s true. I’ll still watch, but won’t be glued to the tournament like usual years.

I honestly just hope for the underdogs in this tournament. I hope to see Latvia and Austria get some upset wins.
