Royle is so legit, the information he posts actually makes sense logically.
Of course Kadri has minimal value, he's 34 and trending down substantially in point production. Looks tired. Im surprised he's even moveable with retention. That's probably some local toronto nostalgia more than anything.
Still wouldnt make that trade though, that's not worth losing the retention slot for so long.

I think he ends up back in Russia.
Outside of the powerplay which he isn't doing much on anyways he is a useless player.

Yeah, this makes sense - for this season and next season Kadri has a full NMC. Kadri has complete control of his situation.
Even in 2026/2027 and 2027/2028, it drops to a 13-team NTC - but at that point, and what I'd call his visible decline this season, I doubt it even matters as I'd expect no one will want him regardless of trade clauses when he's 36 and 37 years old.
I suppose outside of outright dumping him sooner rather than later (with retention), we may as well just make him a Tank Commander helmet. Thanks, Brad.

Kuz is meh, I'd keep him around during the tank seasons for some fun if he just wants a paycheck. Shame we can't even get a 4th or something, but who knows. Maybe someone is desperate for some extra guns come trade deadline.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Timing may be everything for Kuzmenko. He's bound to go on a heater at some point, hopefully then someone will require his services and at that time, no dickering.

Trading Kadri + Vladar + Kuz should equal a first.

It would appear this would be an incorrect assessment.
Kadri controls everything, and apparently a 5th is on offer. He's 34 year old centre on the decline who isn't strong defensively and has 3 more seasons on his contract after this year.
Vladar would be traded if someone was offering a 2nd, so you can safely assume a 3rd is current value in my eyes.
Kuz is $5.5M healthy scratch cap dump.
So, that's a 3rd+5th. Not a 1st.

I don't see it. There is a reason Van dumped him and a hot streak won't change that.

Let's let the season play out on a few of these guys before calling them cap dumps.
We are less than 8 months removed from everyone wanting Kuzmenko resigned long term and Kadri off of a 70 point campaign.
It's December 2nd.

Kuzmenko was a cap dump when the Flames got him and people got overly excited on a hot streak. There were a lot of people who had no interest in him on a long term deal. Thank goodness Conroy didn't rush that one.
I think Kadri could have some value if he was willing to go to any team in the league but he won't and his value is severely limited because of that.

Not sure if everyone was excited, however it was a cap dump for sure.
My guess, he is gone after this season, likely plays over seas next year

I think he gets a one year try me deal from a team, will be a question if he can make more in Russia

He has 1 goal in 25 games and 30 shots.
He is literally wasting a roster spot. I can't see him getting a show me deal, but you never know.

Have to trade them now for it to make sense.

Kadri is probably not a top six centre in the last couple years of his deal. And the teams he’d waive his NMC for are all contenders facing serious cap issues going forward. Paying a 36 and 37 year old Kadri even $4.5 mil a season to play in their bottom six would be a major problem for the Leafs or Avs.

I get that and by no means am not saying you are making it up. I just think the information you did get doesn't really add up.
Additionally Treliving doesn't decide what Kadri's value is simply by putting an insulting lowball offer on the table.
