That is our misconception concerning 'Gods.'
In modern times, Gods are supposed to be Omniscient, Omnipotent and All-caring and All-loving. Here to help humanity through our trials and tribulations and become our best selves.
Give or take, depending on your creed or scripture.
Whereas in Greek and Roman times, Gods were just real jerks. Like the worst of the worst. Just awful beings who didnt GAF about anyone but themselves.
'Love' humanity? For the most part they didn't even 'like' humanity, we were just rats in a cage who only served purposes for the Gods.
So in that aspect I liked the show, but it was a little too much at times, it got a little too carried away with itself, which may be accurate, but I found off-putting at times.
For instance some of the scenes often came off like acting students hamming it up in front of the class. I get what they were going for, but its too over-the-top.

Just finished watching the latest episode of Lioness and it's such a good show. My wife doesn't really care for it mostly, she will half watch while I'm watching and then always says This show is stupid. Anyways watching today's episode and she actually starts giving it her full attention and then the show ends and asked if we could watch the next one....unfortunately not for another week. It's one of those rare shows where I'm watching it as soon as next episode is released.

Thanks, so far so good.

I thought the season finale was the first good episode all season.
It should set up season 4 to be really fun, but it will probably move at a snails pace like this season.

The new dune series is kinda meh. Some intense content but they just move from one 'space' version of a boardroom to another. and have their little chats

Comedies are in tough these days but there have been some excellent ones outside some of the ones mentioned above. They are difficult to come across legally in Canada as the rights holders seem to be all over the place. A lot of them are on Peacock or similar so it takes some looking around. I usually go to IMDB pages and look at what actors, showrunners, EPs, etc I like are doing next or have recently done. This thread has helped a tonne too.
The Other Two on HBO was awesome.
Killing It Peacock - Craig Robinson and Claudia O'Doherty are a Bank guard and rideshare driver who become state-sponsored python hunters in Florida to try and make money.
The Franchise on HBO - EP and writer is Armando Iannucchi (VEEP, The Thick of It,) is about a smaller movie being filmed as part of a franchise.
Mr. Throwback Peacock show starring Steph Curry and Adam Pally about Steph Curry's disgraced friend and high school phenom.
High Potential is an ABC show I just learned about starring Kaitlen Olsen which has a really interesting premise. Plan to watch it next. Listed as a crime drama though.

Season 1 was fine. Season 2 lost my interest and I didn’t bother going back to it.
Surprised to see it has such high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes

You can always watch Doctor Who. Any season you like they’re all pretty good. Bit of comedy, bit of drama, bit of high school digital yearbook quality special effects, good times had by all really.

We've only watched the first 2 episodes so far, but the animated series The Pantheon has been good so far. It's centers around new tech that enables uploading a person's personality to the cloud. What I appreciate is:
1) It doesn't spoon feed everything, but lets the story unfold naturally.
2) It takes seriously the technical discussions. One scene has a father/son discuss a concurrent programming problem, and it is a realistic problem, and they come up with a couple interesting solutions.
We'll see how it progresses, but am enjoying it so far.

Not going in other thread incase spoilers, but The Penguin really is fantastic. 4 episodes in and it's building to some sort of colossal disastrous end. E4 was amazing. Cristin Milioti has to win whatever they hand out for television. So good.

Ya season 3 was a bit of a slog, but we got some solid story out of it. Looking forward to season 4...in 2 years lol.

I wish they would just let this stuff have some breathing room. Give me a huge epic movie every few years, I don't want the filler anymore.

You guys have to watch Landman, please do it so we can talk. I can’t tell if it is bad on purpose or it’s trying to be serious. It is truly so horrendous that it’s hilarious. It’s insane clown posse miracles level bad.
Billy: oh fata.
Supermodel wife: that’s what I plan to do.

Dropout has a new show call Gastronauts. It’s a cooking competition with comedians doing the judging based on their criteria, like horniest, heaviest, or most playable action figure. You’ve never seen a show on the food network talk so much about #####.
