Well if past behaviour is any indicator....perhaps his own fingers? Thats a nasty gouge on his nose.

I had arranged for a Kaiju attack but those bastards are notoriously unreliable and now I'm waiting on hold to get a refund!

But Pep is a genius and his success has nothing to do with him just having the most resources and best squad at his disposal - at any of Barcelona, Bayern, or City.

His teams struggling whenever he doesn't have the best squad in the world at his disposal or has a couple injuries has nothing to do with him...just bad luck.

He's a great manager, but he has just never been a "make the most of what I have" type of manager. He's a chequebook manager whose system needs world-class quality and quantity, and if he doesn't have that, the wheels will come off. This City team is getting old, plus they've botched some transfers and sold guys like Palmer and Alvarez ... it's worse squad than in previous years, and he just has no answers. Genuinely baffled by his contract renewal too, guy constantly looks like he's about to have a mental breakdown.

And that's all before you factor in the looming 115.

This is the thing that annoys me the most. People bitch and moan about Klopp and various other managers around the League in post-games or interviews or how they act on the touchline, etc.

Yeah. Because those guys have PRESSURE.

They're pressured to do the best with what they've got, they're pressured to compete in multiple competitions, they're pressured to try and make Europe, they're pressured to maintain a salary structure, they're pressured to balance transfers, etc.

Pep has no pressure. He has always had an open chequebook. So, sorry not sorry that when things suddenly arent going 110% his way he flips his lid and starts tearing at his face?

My 'Pep Sympathy-o-Meter' is firmly lodged on zero.

I genuinely think he just doesn't know how to handle adversity because, well, he just never experienced any. He never had to work his way up as a manager ... his first job as a manager was with prime Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, for crying out loud. Then Bayern, which operates in a different world than the rest of the Bundesliga, then City, with an open chequebook and a sporting director who caters to his every need. No wonder he loses his marbles when things go sideways for once, he's like a spoilt brat who is used to everything going his way.

Exactly. And right now, as you astutely put it the '115' is in the air, so he doesnt have unlimited resources at the moment and, his squad is ageing and with the 'Sword of Damocles 115' hanging over his head, he doesnt have the resources to just recycle and replace them all like he usually does.

So all of a sudden and for the first time ever his resources are limited and he's throwing a hissy-fit about it.

I’m not defending Pep, because I do think he’s had it easy. But City has had a lot of injuries and I think between them and Spurs it’s it close as far as that goes. After those two, you have an enormous gulf before the next team, as far as players lost to injury. That takes a huge toll, particularly getting into December where you have a couple games a week and they’re largely all important.

Other news from Tottenham today was that Jerry Jones was there trying to buy the team. I don’t know how serious that is, but Spurs have had a lot of suitors over the last 6 months, so there’s got to be something happening.

not a barn burner by any means between Arsenal and United so far, but I'm not mad at that first half. After ten Hags chaos ball, I'm grateful for the kind of stability United have had in this one ... Arsenal looked frustrated at times. United definitely have to improve in attack (that Dalot shot was the only chance they had), especially given that they have more possession. But so far, I'll take it.

And those plucky underdogs Man City finally won a game. I guess no suicide for Pep tonight.

Gotta be the most dominant set piece team in history.

Can you imagine this? He's the type of guy to try to convince a rugby player to take up soccer. Would be all-time box office craziness with Jerry Jones in charge. The Cowboys are the biggest joke in the NFL.
