I know Brian Thiessen a bit (or rather I used to, haven't seen him in years) and always liked him personally. That said, I'm not sure I'm in favour of municipal political parties, and I particularly dislike the name of that one. Seriously, the "Calgary Party"?
Yes, you see, our defining characteristic is that we're in favour of Calgary, we're all about Calgary really, we are big fans. Just a good fit that we happen to be running for office here, in the place that we identify with.
Just dumb.

I (and most Albertans) agree with everything you said about municipal political parties and we have the UCP to thank for this stupidity. I love that we now have The Calgary Party and The Better Calgary Party. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
In fact, I think I'll start a new political party (you're invited), we'll call it "The Bestest Calgary Party Ever Times Infinity"

She's going to win with like 20-25% of the vote because there's so many non-Larry Heather like candidates running that will split up the Anti-Gondek vote.
