Bo won MVP in 2018 and Collaros went to Winnipeg in 2019. Bo hardly looked like a player with no gas.
Collaros went 2 years without a win. Hardly a misstep by the Stamps.

How about the 2023 Grey Cup that featured QB's the Riders gave up on, Collaros vs. Fajardo. Instead they had such luminaries as Mason Fine and Jake Dolegala lol

Norm!

Now build the offensive line around him, especially the tackles. Right now the offensive line is a real problem, we have ok receivers and a decent backfield.
Also with Vernon's legs if we don't have a great line, run an RPO offense.

Charleston Hughes to the rescue...
“It’s not a bad place to be, man,” legendary CFL pass rusher Charleston Hughes said during an appearance on 620 CKRM’s The SportsCage.
“Calgary was where I spent the majority of my career and we won a lot of games in Calgary with the same type of culture for the most part. Nothing’s really changed in the way they approach games and the way they handle free agents. Everybody is still kind of under that Hufnagel-style umbrella.”
“You can’t make everybody happy, let’s keep it 100 when it comes to that. The thing is you’re going to have some bad blood when you leave a team,” he said.

No, I think he is referring to Fields intercepting a two point convert attempt and returning to the Eskimo end zone to win the Labor day rematch back in 2001.

I really loved that no liquor zone, kids can have fun watching the game and don't have to deal with some drunk spewing profanity.

I used to hate him because he always burn us with his running, now that he is ours, I think I'm gonna love him.

That’s brutal that people would still drink in that zone. My friends and I would just move over a couple zones, always able to find some decent seats.

Stamps have interviewed JC Sherritt as a possible DC replacement for the departed Brent Monson who got hired by the Argos...
Saskatchewan Roughriders’ run game coordinator and linebackers coach J.C. Sherritt has become a hot name in the defensive coordinator market.
The 36-year-old has interviewed for open positions with the Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders. He’s also expected to be considered for the Edmonton Elks’ position once a new head coach is hired.

My favorite part of the VA acquisition!
From CFL.ca
Quote:
Average depth of target means how willing a quarterback is to push the ball down field. To put into context, the next closest ones to Adam Jr.’s 14.1 – among quarterbacks with at least 100 passing attempts – were Chad Kelly (12.5), Tre Ford (11.1), Bo Levi Mitchell (10.9) and Zach Collaros (10.9).
That means no other quarterback in the CFL was looking to test a defence deep more often than the new Red and White pivot. Adams Jr.’s aggressiveness led to his league-leading big-time play percentage, while still keeping him below Kelly (4.5) and Collaros (4.1) in turnover-worthy throw percentage (4.0).

He had a long run with the organization of 20 years, 15 where he ran special teams. His units were usually okay with some high and low years but there's no doubt that the coaching staff was getting a little stale and it's kind of tough that he's getting his shot in Edmonton as I have to cheer against him but good for him to get his first head coach gig.

Remember when Vic Fangio got a job after 30 years of coordinating. Some coaches are meant to be a coordinator. That’s Kilam.

Free agency is still over 2 months away but one guy I think the Stamps will target is Eugene Lewis of the Elks. He has a connection with Adams and is a WR who can stretch the field.

Yes, officially it doesn't begin until early February, but you and I both know that talks are likely already happening between teams and players (or more likely, between players on different teams). Lewis would be a fine addition, Justin McInnis would as well.

This off-season reminds of the 2005 off-season. The Stamps got Hank and Cope to get the offense rolling again. Time to get rolling again, Stamps.

Depending on who the Lions select as their next head coach, if either Pierce or Maksymic are still available, I think it would behoove the Stamps to make an inquiry. I don't have much interest in Benevides, never have been much of a fan.
The B.C. Lions have narrowed the team’s head coach search to three finalists, per sources: Buck Pierce, Mike Benevides and Jordan Maksymic.

Benevedes really? It’s very CFL to hire a head coach that was already hired and fired by the organization but what exactly would they expect to be different in a second go around?
