North Korean missiles used in Ukraine are found to have American and Dutch components. Apparently nothing in them is North Korean, other than the outer metal shells. It's believed that they were smuggled through China to North Korea. Just another example of how sanctions are hard to enforce even for an isolated country like North Korea.

I actually don't totally disagree with Graham there. It's not "all" about money, but that is a big part of it. There is definitely an aspect of Russia believing that Ukraine and Ukrainians belong to Russia and the Russian people, and therefore do not have a right to self-determination, but you can't discount the economic part in all this.
It's true that Ukraine sits on a massive wealth of rare minerals and other natural resources, and they are exactly the kind of resources that are needed to fuel the technological age we are entering. Whoever controls those resources will have a lot of power and wealth. As Ukraine continued to look west with aspirations of joining the EU and NATO, Russia became afraid of not just losing access to that, but also that their western adversaries would get in on it.
I have no doubt that part of Trump's "peace" plan involves the U.S. getting a piece of the pie in exchange for dropping support of Ukraine and letting Russia pursue their agenda of annexing parts of Ukraine it wants.

It’s probably cheaper to sell the Ukraine weapons then to trust Russia, to me that comment along with Zelinskis comments about making trades for resource access for weapons is the most promising news we have heard since the election.
Russia is suspected to be involved in a plot to start fires on commercial aircrafts destined to Canada and the U.S. Russian spies are suspected, but it is unclear whether they were acting officially, or were "feral" as they put it. According to investigators anyway.
A DHL plane from Leipzig Germany crashed in Lithuania today. There are no obvious signs of sabotage yet (still really early), but given what happened previously in Leipzig with parcels sent from Lithuania, they are investigating it with that in mind.
A DHL plane crashed as it came in to land at Lithuania's Vilnius airport on Monday morning, killing one person in what Germany's foreign minister later said could be an accident or a hybrid attack in "volatile times".
Lithuanian officials said there was no indication of sabotage so far, though Germany is investigating several fires caused by incendiary devices hidden inside parcels at a warehouse in Leipzig for delivery by DHL earlier this year. German authorities were investigating Monday's crash as well.
European countries have repeatedly expressed concerns about the vulnerability of civilian infrastructure -- misgivings which also reared their head after the unexplained severing of two fibre-optic cables in the Baltic Sea last week.
I hope it is just a coincidence because if Russia is behind it, it's probably going to hit the fan pretty hard.

If would be great if Russia was the culprit. They'd be giving NATO just cause for a retaliation without inflicting major damage. As long as NATO does hit back, that is. Otherwise they'll be incentivized to keep f***ing around.
Sorry...we paid politicians and lawyers to write letters and agreements with other affected parties for years. In other words, rather than punching back or helping pur own affected families financially...we have spent more money pretending to respond...

How can we punch back? Send our aircraft carrier over to intimidate them?

I didn't realize they brought the case to the ICJ in 2023.
It would be nice to send our carrier to intimidate them, yes. But a rich G7 country like ours obviously can't afford to spend 2% of its GDP on defense.
