Terrible officiating but the result is not surprising. If you told me to circle 10 games this season on the schedule that were guaranteed losses I would have picked this one. The Flames just don't play well in this arena. Time for Kuzmenko to spend some time in the pressbox to see if he even cares at this point as he's looking like a guy who's ready to go back to the KHL.

Own stick high stick
Center ice dive
Huberdeau getting an extra in a 50-50 scrum
what else..
It was more the lack of the same attention paid to the Sens players for me though. Quite a few infractions got passed them somehow.

I knew the Flames weren't winning this game when I saw that asshat Kris King give it the exuberant thumbs down when they were reviewing Weegars goal. Clearly the control room had put huge dollars down on a Sens win tonight. #### Kris King, #### Trevor Hanson and #### John MacIssac.

Someone made a lot of money tonight. 18 minutes of penalties. Sure wish games were called fairly. Still only lost by 1. On to Detroit.

Penalty on a failed challenge that should have been successful.

Who was it that had Jobbing.com arena? Because that should be Ottawa's rink.

Even after the replays I felt that was not going to get overturned as there was contact with the goaltender. I'm not too upset over the challenge but it was kind of a turning point in the first period.

And don't forget that the Flames had to use a challenge because the stupid refs could only see goalie interference on one team tonight.

Flames had 60.5% of the expected goals 5V5 and power plays were 9-2. Thats horrific.

Too bad it's not elbowing if a Senator does the exact same thing. But it is an elbow if a Sen skates into an already extended elbow. And the penalty for embellishing (although Kadri was also guilty once) has also magically disappeared. And the one for interference (especially when Coronato was put into a bear hug so he could be skated, without the puck, head and knee first into the boards, but also when Coleman was hit without ever touching the puck). How about Hamonic's hand closed on the puck in the crease (automatic goal)?

Diving calls always seem to end up stupid. The diver takes a penalty and so does the other player.

There definitely was contact. But it was challenged because Kirkland was forced to that spot by the Sen, mainly from his stick behind Kirkland's knee which didn't really give him any other place to go. Kirkland did not make contact on his own. Even the Amazon guys were saying it looked like the Sen forced Kirkland into his own goalie.

Kirkland's skates were both turned outward. He was doing everything he could to stop, but first the initial defender's contact with his body and finally the stick push on his skate forced him in. Deliberate effort by the D to force contact with the goaltender should never result in a goaltender interference call.

With the egregiously obvious penalty train by the Flames it made the officials job too easy to steer this one to the desired conclusion. Inspite of the score Wolf had a great game and made some very key saves. Bahl was a super savvy pickup and think he’s still getting better as the season goes on.

Missed the game, sounds like I should skip the highlights, too.
Ah, well. Next time, Flames!

A very unprofessional look for a supposed unbiased arbitrator.
