Looks a lot like Makar to me in those clips. Right handed shot, fantastic speed and agility. Pretty insane he's making plays like that at such a young age. Can see why he was an exceptional status pick.

Ya I think he would be challenging for top D this year at least. Man having a 1 2 punch of Dupont and Parekh would be insane for the next 10 years
Sure, but the need for a dynamic center, which there should be 4-5 legitimate of in the top 10 this year, far outweighs the need to overload further at the D position early in the draft.
The Flames are in good shape on the backend with Mews, Hunter B, Morin, Parekh, Poirer all at various levels of development. If it makes sense in rounds 2-3 absolutely go for another one, but I can't see the team gunning for another blueliner early when the need down the middle is so critical to rebuilding.
If Conroy adds a blue chip C this year, this thing is starting to be on the way back versus continuing to spin its wheels hoping for a homerun for another year or two.

Does he end up taking an alternate route to the NHL? If he's this dominant in his 15 & 16 year old campaigns I wonder if he takes a chance on the SHL or something. Is there a CHL transfer agreement that would limit his options?
I thought I would bump this thread with this really well-done prospect video done by Hectic Hockey. Boy, wouldn't it be something if the Flames end up bottoming-out in the next two seasons after making the playoffs this season? I think there will be teams actively tanking to get this kid. I see Pittsburgh. Anyway, thought I would share this video - I am sure there will be many, many more on this kid.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go to the NCAA as a 17 year old to play against older players. I know he’s spoken to North Dakota and Denver in the past.
