On the 1-1 goal, I think he was just puck chasing and trying to go to where he thought the puck would end up or where he could open for a pass if the Oilers got possession. He has no interest in trying to play defense or get possession himself.
The third Wild goal is funny too. Stecher looked awful.
Watch the tenderness on that goal too. It must be a thing where presence is enough.

Did the pundits vote on them to be favorites before or after all the stupid off-season decisions?
If it was after, shame shame.
They did it before and after. So it’s even worse.
Feels gratifying to see the oilers struggle when so many of the Canadian sports media people applauded their offseason moves in July without thinking about what they were giving up. It’s like they looked at Arvidsson and Skinner’s best seasons of production and simply added those goals to the oilers total from last year and said “Wow! They’re going to be even better!” Not thinking about:
-the age of the team (old)
-how much slower they got
-how they seemed to specifically target removing the forwards that have some defensive side of their game (Macleod, Foegele, and Holloway)
-how they left no room in their cap structure to keep their young players
-how they assumed these new players would produce at their career best levels when being given virtually no powerplay time
-how they did nothing to improve their goaltending which was already a concern
-how they did nothing to improve their defence which was poor before but is now really poor
I’m sure I’m missing a few more details they overlooked but, in summary:
