Totally agree, Carbery in Wsh probably up there as well as who saw that team being top 5 either?

I hope Huska gets a nod if we keep this up, but ultimately I’m good if someone else wins as it always seems like the Jack Adams is the kiss of death for many coaches (even though it’s probably all coincidence)

Massive shoutout to the 4th line. They were dominant tonight.

When Conroy went out and signed Lomberg for that contract, it reminded me of the Engelland contract where we were made fun of that is was per year and not the entire length.

Conroy from his trades, the draft, to that signing, I fully agree a turn around “on the fly” is capable, with maintaining a workplace where (and it’s funny this actually is true now and not just a sign on the wall) it’s always earned never given.

Just watched the highlights and one thing that didn’t show too well on camera as it did in person (at least on the angle I saw) was Huberdeau’s brilliant touch pass to Zary on the game winning goal. It was so slick.

He's done an excellent job of hiring players who will set the benchmark for effort and consistency. If a young player wants to make the Flames' roster, he has to work hard enough to outperform players like Rooney and Lomberg. Pure skill will get you by for a while, but it takes hard work to stay ahead of those players during the times when your scoring runs dry.

He’s a well oiled machine

You remember in hockey practices when you don’t have a goalie, you play posts?

Muscle memory

Nailed it

Also...I think those white sweaters with the purple logo are pretty sharp. I like them.

I watched the game live over here.
I was fully on the tank train, but these guys won't ever quit.
I am 100% behind Huska and the boys. Let's keep upsetting the apple cart, and keep the winning going, and screw over the so called superior teams.
Go Flames Go.

That typo always makes me laugh.

It reminds of one time - years ago - Ben Affleck was on a talk show and he was asked if his family was religious growing up and he said he was always more interested in sports. Whenever the priest would say that Jesus was crucified at Calvary, he wondered why they went all the way to where the Flames play to do it.

Zary's goal was so nice the Rangers fan at 0:17 is standing and clapping even.

Everyone knew our biggest weakness was goaltending and defense and Jackson goes out and signs 3 aging/injury prone forwards while letting 3 of our youngest (25, 23, 23) and fastest players go. Emberson, Dermott, Brown pickups all looking varying degrees of awful. Absolutely nothing done to address league worst goaltending. Offseason started with so much hope but what an abject failure.
This is a most excellent example of the nonsensical medias annual kool-aid filled off-season offering, and the lemmings who lap it up that support that franchise.

The vast majority of the hockey world objectively looked at their moves over the summer and noted repeatedly that the club had the exact issues as this poster describes. Not in Conners world though....no criticism of the hallowed grease spots allowed. Stanely Cup favorites and all that you know.

It would be frightening if it wasn't so damn hilarious AND predictable.
